Actually, the band was put together by Thomas, Frank and Knüpfi already in Autumn 2000. But they really started in the year 2005. With Franzie as vocalist since May 2006 and Mario as keyboardist in 2007, RAUM41 were complete. Today, Dirot [former Lament] stands on the keys and Yeti [Semper Talis] gives the beat. The five band members were involved in Leipzig's Wave and Alternative scene since a long time and found their idols in this musical spectrum. Thus, it is not surprising that their music creates a symbiosis of 80s Wave and modern Indierock and that it partially crosses the border to straight Guitar Pop.
RAUM41 draw a bow from gloomy hymns [„Crossword“] over melancholic rhythms [„In Deep Water“] to catchy pop songs [„Arctic Sky“] while vocalist Franzie puts a spell on the listener with her remarkable voice and lyrical talent.
In August 2006, some first recordings were made for a 4-track demo EP. In November 2008, all songs of the last two years were recorded and released as a first longplayer.
