Call your local animal control office, humane society, or sheriff’s department if you see a dog or cat who is:
-- consistently without food, water or shelter
-- sick or infested with parasites
-- too skinny

I'm trying to leave the world a little better than I found it. Towards that end, I work with developmentally disabled people, and promote different charities in the metro-east area.
I'm also a "One Nation Under God" pro-life conservative, and hope to meet others here.
For fun I like to dance and chase my cats _^..^_ I'm often asked about my heritage, but I am born-and-raised American, with a background of Irish, German, Bohemian--aka gypsy--and Native American. | | Music |
All-American Rejects,'80's hair bands, and country. Yes, country :))) | | Movies | Bella, Gran Torino, Groundhog Day | | Television | Yikes! What a waste of time. Even 'Smallville' stinks these days. | | Books | Authors: Dr. Laura has the best relationship books on the market, John Stossel's "Give Me A Break" should be required reading for anyone who thinks big government is a good idea--The lists and documented details of the vast wasteland of govt spending will make your head explode. | | Heroes |
Dr. Laura, Winston Churchill, Ronald Reagan. Pretty much anyone willing to stick their neck out and tell the truth.

About me:
href="http://mail.yahoo.com/config/login?/http://www.pimpmycom.com/myspace.php" target="_self">..
Right-winger doing my part to promote God, Life and libertarian/conservative values--charity, freedom, independence, acknowledgement of good and evil, and small government.
It's just as easy to lead people in the right direction as it is in the wrong one, but we must take a stand on AND OFF the internet.
Therefore we will continue to publish every evil of our enemies, love and pray for them, speak out by every effort, and make a virtuous and steady resistance against the subjugation of our culture, children, and world.
At a time when it surely seems that capitalism has run amuck and poised the world on the edge of economic ruin, the temptation is very strong for the pendulum to swing too far left into the failed and immoral territory of socialism. Historically pure socialism has never worked, philosophically it cannot work, and morally it is inherently evil (because it undermines the right of private property ownership, an inherent human right) and hence should not be given a chance to fail again at even more human cost.
The common error is to think that socialism helps the poor and disenfranchised. As we can see throughout Europe, socialism does not help the poor. Rather, it reduces everyone to the same lowest common denominator of poverty and misery, while at the same time drying up the very sources of capital.
Socialism is currently failing throughout Europe, which is uniformly broke:
Spanish economy boasts highest jobless rate in Europe:
http://www.iht.com/articles/2009/02/12/business/peseta.php
The French economy in recession and, "massive spending by the French government in a bid to drag the euro zone's second largest economy out of recession is severely damaging the country's fiscal position." (Sound familiar?)

Socialism is not the answer to the economic problems we face.
Neither is national healthcare, at least not the obamacare being promoted by Congress. There are certainly flaws in our system, but none that will be fixed by giving more money and power over our lives to politicians and their appointees who repeatedly regale We The People with lies, deception, and self-interest.
European countries with nationalized health care are now seeking to privatize at least some of it because of the astronomical costs.
From a Canadian blog:
"In a socialized medical system you are prioritized, and if you don't meet the criteria you are left out."
"In America, you can be 60 with a bad heart valve and can actually have it replaced. And while you have to pay for it, and have insurance to do so. Just try to get it done in a social care program. You can't, plain and simple."
"Would YOU like to wait 4 years for a knee replacement? Or die waiting for a test?"
"Britain’s government-run health care dates back to the 1940s. Yet the Labour Party—which originally created the National Health Service and used to bristle at the suggestion of private medicine, dismissing it as “Americanization”—now openly favors privatization."
In Britain, the doctor makes the decision to discontinue life support--not the citizen, not the family. Also, many UK doctors want to refuse treatment to the old and unhealthy (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1576704/Dont-treat-the-old-and-unhealthy-say-doctors.html) and think dementia sufferers have a "duty to die" (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/2983652/Baroness-Warnock-Dementia-sufferers-may-have-a-duty-to-die.html?source=EMC-new_19092008).
They have already banned life prolonging drugs to those with terminal cancer because they're too costly (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1159506/Life-prolonging-cancer-drugs-banned-cost-much.html).
Wake up, people. With these horrific things happening in countries with national health care, the clamor for it in the United States clearly isn't about helping the poor.
It's about greedy politicians trying to get your permission to rob you blind.
