About me: With a little help from my friends, I am responsible for Ravenheart Music UK, and our new label too. It all started in 2006 while I was sitting on a redundancy notice (I was not made redundant by the way) - I had no pc then, even no phone line, but with the help of my awesome friend Aimee, whose pc I used on several occasions, and the use of the computers at the public library, Ravenheart Music was born. The project is based in Kidderminster in Worcestershire UK, and we proudly promote and publicise female fronted rock and metal. As part of our endeavours, we are managing and promoting the awesome Idaho based Gothic Band ROTT, who are signed to our record label, as are the Canadian rockers DAMSEL FLY, Russian Metal Band BLACKTHORN, Portugese Rockers CINEMUERTE and Sth Carolina based hard rockers SUHGARIM. We are now very proud to announce that we will now manage/promote the gothic symphonic metal band 'WINTER IN EDEN' who are based in the NE of England. This band are awesome and deserve your utmost support. I am also honoured to be assisting my good hard rocking buddies LYCK, fronted by another lovely friend of mine, Zennor McGuire - LYCK are certainly a band to watch out for in the future. The debut full-length opus, 'Escaping The Abyss', contains eight tracks of majestic progressive black metal, contrasting extreme elements with graceful passages creating a sound that is refreshingly original and unique. Blending together a wide range of different musical influences, (including the likes of Enslaved and Opeth), Fornost Arnor have created an unmistakable style... one they have made very much their own.
'Escaping The Abyss' is released December 14th through Witch-King Records, and will also be available through CD Baby, iTunes and Rhapsody as digital MP3 downloads soon after.
