If you want to add a friend request, please take note of the following. I am not collecting for numbers but more for interesting people whose pages I love. If I end up with a lot of people as friends, I will count myself lucky. Most of my 'Friends' at the moment are bands that I like so I am still being selective about actual friends. The current count is roughly 1/4 of total friends that I send messages to. Don't get me wrong; if you send a request, I will probably approve you if you have the same interests. I won't approve you if your profile is set to 'Private' and when you friend request me, you don't even attach a small message. You could at least tell me something about you, otherwise why would I approve you? I am a dreadful penpal but keep in contact with picture comments. They reflect how I am feeling at the time. I aim to send out a message every week but definitely once a fortnight if I am very busy! I do not delete people unless I feel that there was/is no point in their being my friend. I would not do it lightly but I have had some requests that I have approved and then wondered why that person wanted to be my friend. Sorry but it takes time to send out messages and if they are not appreciated, I stop.
I have been practising Witchcraft for over 20 years and still have lots to learn! The Craft is a life-long passion. I read Tarot Cards but still use crib cards as I want to still be able to read for myself. I also use a Crystal Ball, Pendulum and Scrying Mirror. I am lucky enough to have a spare room that I am allowed to dedicate to my altar and all my Paraphernalia. I love candles and have a large selection to choose from. I am fascinated by anything to do with Egypt and use this in my work. I have completed a handwritten Book of Shadows and I am now transferring it to computer. Well, that's it for now but may add more in the future.
Weather
I love Rain above every other type of Weather; closely followed by Snow. Best of all is crashing thunderstorms, gale force winds, driving rain and a walk along the sea-front. Bliss.
I LOVE this movie; it is my ideal late night, lights off and a bag of salty buttered popcorn treat.

Classical Art
I have just found this and absolutely love it!
Books
Most of all I love Terry Pratchett but tend to have a very varied taste in books from Reference to Historical Romance to 'Bodice-Rippers' to Horror. I also have a very large collection of Witchcraft and Mystical books. My other-half jokes that we are the second library in our town! I have got over 5000 books but most are in storage in our loft until he builds my library in our dining room.
Other Favorites are Stephen King, Gothic Romances, Anya Seton, Barbara Erskine, Jilly Cooper, Julie Garwood, Jean Plaidy, Victoria Holt, Phillippa Carr, Anne Rice, Jeremy Clarkson, Mike Wilks, Arthur C. Clarke, Philip K. Dick, Edgar Allan Poe, Charlaine Harris, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Nora Roberts, Susan Wittig Albert, Charles Perrault, Kim Harrison, Kelley Armstrong, Gaelen Foley, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Historical Fiction or Non-Fiction, Witchcraft
Pets
We have 3 Cats, 2 Dogs, A Pove (Pigeon Cross Dove) and a Terrapin called Chadwick. Boz was a shared kitten between our lodger and us who we rescued from the top of our street and when she moved out she couldn't take him; Squeek was found in the University of Essex carpark where my mother works and so we adopted her and Frazzel was found under a portakabin at John's work, he was worried she would be run over by a truck and brought her home. Boz is my baby and the girls prefer John. We only have 2 dogs now; Emo who is my dog bought for me by John when we first moved in together who is now 17 and he is the Dad. Zeus is his son who is 16 and John's dog. We also had Scruffy who was John's dog before I moved in and she was the Mum, Indi was was the daughter and also John's dog and Mysty who we sold to friends for their disabled daughter was the 2nd daughter. I also have Piglet, who was hand raised from an egg, we unfortunately lost the rest of the clutch. She is completely tame and lives in our front room as she doesn't like the rest of the house! She seems to think my head is a nest and will spend a great deal of time 'arranging' my hair. The first clutch of eggs she laid, she had to do on my chest as she wouldn't settle anywhere else. She has since laid a second clutch in her cage but she had these taken away otherwise she sits on them all day and won't eat or drink and makes herself ill. She only goes in her large parrot cage at night as I don't trust the cats to not figure out how to open the front room door! She has a guest staying at the moment called Whistler. He is a racing pigeon someone who knows John through work brought in because 'we look after that sort of thing, don't we?' It looks like he has been attacked by a hawk as he has a large hole next to his beak which is where the hawk will rip the throat out to kill it while flying away. Obviously, this hawk missed and just damaged and dropped him. He also has a big hole in his foot and one toe is out of line. His breathing is awful; sounds like he has bronchitis. Our friend who raises fancy show pigeons had a look and just said to keep him quiet and see what happens. He is living in a big dog box on top of Piglets cage and he loves to watch her fly about. He comes out occasionally but because of the breathing, he flaps about and then is absolutely knackered. He will stay here as long as he needs and if he gets better, he will go to my friends who keeps a flock of rescued and unwanted pigeons of all sorts. If he doesn't, then he will get a run here and live out his life quietly. I tried to trace his owner but the Racing Association couldn't find a current address and the gentleman at the local rescue said that they would only kill him as he was no longer any good for racing. I would rather he was happy here for a few years than just killed because he had no use. Anyway, he loves watching T.V. now he is indoors! Unfortunately, Whistler died just before Christmas 2007 and was swiftly followed by Zeus. Whistler spent one Friday having worse breathing problems than he had had previously, so I kept an eye on him. I left the room with him snuggled at the back of his cage asleep and when I returned 20 minutes later he had died. His head had just tucked into his neck and he had passed away quietly. I am pleased to have given him a nice ending to his life rather than freezing and injured in a field somewhere. Zeus went downhill rapidly the week before Christmas and John had to take him to the vet’s on the Friday. All his systems had basically shut down and it was kinder to have him put to sleep. Emo died on the 24.11.08 after surviving another year that we didn't think he would make. He was 18 and slipped away quietly on the Monday lunchtime at exactly 12:00. It was very upsetting and it seems weird to have no dogs in the house. We are going to take a break from dogs and see what happens, we don't need to replace them just to have a dog. We have enough fun with the others anyway! Chadwick the terrapin was also a rescue from someone who had got bored of him and was going to flush him! He was the size of a 50p piece when we got him and he is now 10 inches long. We seem to be the local rescue centre but usually find homes elsewhere as we don't have the room and it isn't fair on those we already have.
Absolutely love these cartoons!!!! It is as if Simon Tofield has spent the day in my house. All cat lovers will recognise the cat as their own. The newest one is possibly the closest to my baby Boz and he knows it as he was on my lap when I first watched it with a knowing look on his face!! The first one is 'Cat Man Do', the second is 'Let Me In' and the last one is 'TV Dinner'.
Cars
I love watching NASCAR racing; Busch & Nextel series. Unfortunately, living in England means watching it at 3:00am! It is absolutely worth it though.
Even though I don't hold a driver's license (doesn't mean I can't drive, just not on public roads!), I absolutely love cars. The sound of the engine is a key stage in selection and I have a particular passion for older cars. Blame my Dad! I do have some particular favorites and, money no object, I would have a hanger full of cars to choose from. There would have to be a mechanics area as I also love tinkering on the engines, which came as a shock to John when he realised I knew as much as he did about cars and he was trained as a mechanic. I do like the new Shelby but the older one is better as is the case for most of the cars on my list. Here is a selection of some that would make it into a special parking spot. There are some odd ones mixed in but hey....it's my list!
Family Stuff
Just a little tribute to my fiancé; Little John has been his nickname for years (from before I knew him) because he was always the shortest John in the group!
Just adding a nod to my brother who was on my friends list as 'The Plinth'. I think he has deleted his profile now. I sent him this on a comment and it took him nanoseconds to get it up as his display picture. He has loved Animal since he was a kid, I like Beaker, Ralph & Gonzo.
Heroes
This is the first person I have ever seen who deserves the title 'Hero'.
Raised in Vancouver and Toronto, the daughter of David Suzuki, Severn Cullis-Suzuki has been camping and hiking all her life. When she was 9 she started the Environmental Children's Organization (ECO), a small group of children committed to learning and teaching other kids about environmental issues. They were successful in many projects before 1992, when they raised enough money to go to the UN's Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro. Their aim was to remind the decision-makers of who their actions or inactions would ultimately affect. The goal was reached when 12 yr old Severn closed a Plenary Session with a powerful speech that received a standing ovation.
Raven Joolz is not about a lot at the moment as spending a lot of time with my mother-in-law with no internet access! Posted at 12:57 PM Oct 17 view more
About me: Hi. I am a stay-at-home housewife (not through choice but through illness) who can't wait to get back to work! Ideally, I would like to make money from home in some way but just can't find the way that works for me yet. I have been with my fiancé John since I was 18 and lived with him since our engagement when I was 20. We have no plans to get married as he has already been down that path (he is 8 years older than me), I was never interested and we are happy how we are. We live in a little sea-side town on the Essex coast. I was born in England but brought up in Canada (mainly the Toronto area) and moved back here when I was 12. I still miss what I consider home and will one day go back to live there as John loved it when we went out for my 21st birthday for a whole month. I enjoy all things to do with Nature, Crafting (Beading is a favorite), Reading and making new friends on MySpace! I also have a new page on PaganSpace, drop by and have a look! www.paganspace.net/profile/RavenJoolz . I don't really know what else to say. If you are interested in my page or my interests thus far, drop me a line. I may add more in the future if I can think of anything interesting to report!
I am still in the process of updating the page, so many ideas, so little time and space!
Below is a selection of my Favorite Classical Art. This will eventually be split into another for Mystical & Modern; I am still sorting this out!
..
My favorite holiday is Hallowe'en. I grew up in Canada, so spent my childhood years treat or treating and my father was also into it in a big way. He ran nightclubs and had theme nights for the whole week around the end of October. He also died on the 31st of October and the family thought at the time that he would have got a kick out of that in a strange way. Even now, over 20 years later, amid my usual Hallowe'en madness, I light a candle for him and have a little quiet moment....then remember that he would rather have been in the next room where the party was!
Who I'd like to meet: A List of People Dead or Alive that I would like to have spent time with. This will keep growing as I think of new people.
Would also like to meet Doreen Tovey; various other historical figures to ask them a number of questions on why they did certain things and John and I's ancestors as it would make it a lot easier to do the family tree that I am working on if I could ask some questions. There are a lot of skeletons rattling around and I want Answers! The pictures above should be interesting from a trivia point of view; some of the pictures are a double whammy, the character and the actor/actress and some you have to figure out who the historical figure is! I have now added a cheat; the answers are available if you hover over the picture!
Beneath her glow we shine and on our eve we will fly!.....Happy Halloween my enchanted friend and keep the pumpkins a glow. Our ancestors will be proud because we remember......Wicked love, warm hugs and magical blessings ............Tonight we will fly....Regina
