The Blog provides visitors with a gallery of images, for both current and past events.
In 2005: An initial project to create a domain exclusive to the Arizona Renaissance Festival, and similar events, became ravensworlde.com.
Simultaneously, a second effort began devoted to Norse folklore, called Bifrost Bridge. For practical reasons in early 2006, both efforts were merged together. The exisiting domain remained ravensworld.com, while the site name became “Welcome to Bifrost Bridge”.
Mid 2006, I added; “The Shire Streets”, whose images focus on the character of Shire, represented by its building and unique shop signs. Also, the “Dancing Pig Pub”, an often and most frequented stop for the Rennies. And, the introduction of myspace.com/ravensworlde, the Blog addition to my domain.
A word about the Rennies; characters take years of dedication to create. The manner of dress is called “Known Worlde”, and refers to period dress and attire, complete with traditional embellishments and accessories.
In 2007; Ravensworlde/renspace and Friends of the ARF /renspace became reality. I am particularly enthusiastic about Friends of the ARF; this is a dynamic Group page. Along with forums, there are some great links to interest and amuse Shirefolk.
MySpace continues to exceed all expectations; now approaching 20,100 + visitors. In the upcoming days, new images of the ARF 2009 season will appear ~ all year. Also, of course the Norse project continues; and introduced Tales of the 9 Worldes. Begun August 21st, 2008; Shire Folk of the ARF now claims more than 700 members. This group is about the Patrons of the ARF, local and regional activities, and anything Rennie. All RenFolk from any Shire are welcome to join. To learn more;visit http://groups.myspace.com/arfshirefolk.
2009: RaVensworlde updated with new appearence; after 3 years of service, change was overdue.
Also, the profile RaVen’s Yggdrasil us uploaded.
The path is www.myspace.com/ravens_newworlde
Yggdrasil, pronounced IG- drə-- sil; in Norse culture is a great ash tree whose roots connect the Nine Worldes together and thus it supports the Universe. All that is, and all that exits is connected to everything else by virtue of the Yggdrasil.
This profile will examine and discuss the health of Rennies, as it pertains to diet. To this end, I am researching and seeking information regarding the availability of alternative menus offered by Renaissance Festival’s in the United States. If you, a family member or friend has Autism, Cancer, Celiac, Diabetes or Obesity: please share your experience obtaining food items at Faire considered beneficial for these conditions.
All RenFolk of course.
I do ask before you befriend me, do have at least (1) one Garbbed image of yourself on your profile. The Gallery is perfect, this will not change the theme of the profile page.
