Ravenz Gate, the name, was originally conceived during a day dream by lead singer, Leslie Ruland. "The Raven in most Native American folklore, is the symbol of being "carried away" to the next life", she says. Inducing that imagery, Leslie wants people to feel that the band is a gateway for them to be carried away to a new place where they can experience music that is real and soul-searching.
