Sounds Like
With an Acoustic Heart Rävinwolf is a powerhouse of talent with the drive it takes to succeed in the music business. Acoustic Alchemists, their signature style is soulful, sweet and solid... even dangerous...their refreshing and truly original sound takes you someplace new in rock music. Songwriters since childhood, the power duo Ravinwolf exemplifies the type of haunting original sound making it's way out of the ethereal desert sageland of Central Washington State and onto the national and international stage. Offering a refreshing lyrical and musical change Ravinwolf stands front and center emerging ready and steady from the American Roots Rock genre.
Ravinwolf featured on soundtrack to Leaning Wolf Productions 2009 full-length feature documentary "Back to the Farm" detailing the state of the family farm and the effects of factory farming on global agriculture and attitudes towards farming. (below)
"Ravinwolf has found out how to keep themselves alive as a business and still have plenty left to rock the clubs. They also know to rise above the crowd in the music world you have to have your own voice , your own style and your own music...that they do!"

"...bands are nearly as numerous as beetle kill spruce trees ... Ones that can sing in harmony are less common, and ones with enough of their own stuff to put together an album worth listening to, cuts the number further. Add a sense of musical arrangement, a male-female singing duo that sound like they fetched their voices out of the same gene pool and you’ve got Ravinwolf!"

Seattle PI Interview
Seattle's 2008 Northwest Folklife Festival
Thanks to Brett Renville of Leaning Wolf Productions for the video footage, Barbie Hull of the Seattle PI for the still photos and Andy Lo for his production assistance.
The performing singer-songwriters, Ravinwolf, were born in the mountains of Roslyn in Central Washington State and broke sound barriers down the Eastern slope of the Cascades and onto the back porches
of the historic old western hitching posts of Ellensburg, Washington, a.k.a. 'Robber's Roost' ... They herald the stylings native to old tumbleweed valleys and coal-stacked alleys...of shotgun weddings & outlaw bettings, of corn-fed back porch acoustic blues, lost cowboys and the dusty trails of rural America....yet they leave behind an ethereal musical legacy that expresses the disillusionment of the night sky and the rejuvenation of ancient truth.
American recording artists, performing singer songwriters and dedicated to the blues,'Ravinwolf' has released 2 full-length studio CD’s and are currently working on a live all acoustic album entitled “Acoustic Champagne” to be released in 2009. Their creative approach to the acoustic folk-blues is what they like to call “Acoustic Art”... a fusion of back-porch jazzy blues and has been described as "organic, raw & free". Their tour schedule is robust with appearances scheduled this season at Wenatchee's Apple Blossom Festival, Yakima Valley Folkilfe Festival, Caffe Mela Summer Concert Series and some of the Northwest's finest brews & blues venues, winery Summer Concert venues and premiere music festivals. They are pleased to offer their support to national talent such as Carrie Clark and Wa Blues Society's 2008 Award Winner Alice Stuart & the Formerlys.
"We are accustomed to presenting our music with the intimate musicality of showcase concert performers..." - Rävinwolf
Most recently, Rävinwolf has been featured on the film soundtrack to Leaning Wolf Productions’ 2009 documentary release “Back to the Garden” featuring Willie Nelson, Neil Young and Dave Matthews. For the film, they debuted three new songs . . . ‘Family Farm’, ‘This Old Burg’ and the title track ‘’Back to the Garden’.
Ravinwolf actively supports the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) and Farm Aid through their album sales, donated time & labor. Ravinwolf is a staunch supporter of efforts to keep the local Live Music scene alive in rural America.
Loosely tight...seamless...ethereal...haunting...intoxicating live...Ravinwolf makes distinctively clear the difference between guitar playing AND artistry. They rise above the crowd with their own voice...to produce a happy-hip, cowboy-tipping, acoustic bluesy phenomenon they call RAVINWOLF.
When a song is born into the light we can feel the contractions as tentacles of stories wriggle and writhe for expression. Together we stand as the singer-songwriters of Rävinwolf to birth these songs, fortunate enough to have toured to the distant reaches of Alaska and survived…fortunate enough to have battled our own demons there and survived…the stolen tour bus fiasco… the analog studio sessions…15 bass players & 12 drummers…the hijacked songs…the giftings of star-struck fans…getting paid in hamburgers…the tableside serenades to the rich & eccentric…the chicken-wire tour…the blown bus tires…the ketchup bottle slide bars…playin’ the streets…brand new dreams…and the comings apart at the seams… the steep climb up and the slippery slope of all the falling downs along the way of our tender years together make Rävinwolf the force of nature we have grown to be unable to live without.
