Royce A. Watson is a public speaker, entrepreneur, radio personality, recording artist, and actor. He delivers a motivational message inspiring people to conquer mediocrity and live up to their greatness. It is a message Royce has learned from his own life and one he is helping others apply to their lives.
Born in Lubbock, Texas in to destitute conditions, Royce was adopted when he was a 1 year old child by Ms. Glenda Sanders. Ms. Sanders was a single mother, worked a full time job, and struggled to make ends meet. She was determined to raise Royce to be a better man.
Royce’s unfocused and restless energy got him in trouble often for being a class clown. Feelings of depression, fear of rejection, and low self esteem plagued Royce in childhood and took several years to overcome.
A Desire to Succeed
During high school and college Royce had to work multiple jobs to provide for self and family.
Often he worked more than one job at a time.
Despite the strains on finance and time he was determined to be successful.
Royce was elected class president each year of his high school career.
He graduated from Lubbock High School in 2002 with honors and spoke at his graduation ceremony.
Royce was awarded several academic scholarships.
He graduated from Texas Tech University in December of 2006. He received a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Mass Communications.
Royce A. Watson rose from meager beginnings to a successful college graduate.
