Influences
World beats and traditional African rythyms are spiced with a dash of Coltrane and Marley. St. Louis and delta sounds add an urban elixer to the simmering cauldron of soul. You have felt these sounds before but seldom hear them. Take a walk on your wild side and experience Raw Earth, urban, tribal and so real that it shakes the essence of what your affluence has tried to sterilize.
Sounds Like
Nothing you normally listen to, but should....
African djembe, congas, mandolin, saxophone, a little eclectic
bass and a host of other instruments are used to create a sensation that is more for the spirit then the ear.
We bring the sound of the earth, sun and moon that will wake up even the
sleepiest of souls to greet the new dawn. Call it what you may,
World music, earth sounds, after hearing Raw Earth, you will be experienced
Raw Earth started as a musical experiment that challenged the over done acoustic roux of the open mic sessions at a local coffee house. The basic tribal sounds grew into the "urbo-trad" creations that shun the mundane dyed and tried standards to keep us on the raw edge of realities...Imagination, yours, mine and ours...Come and hear what you're missing..
Thanks for stopping by and becoming space-friends. I'm really diggin' your niche Perhaps, we could do something together, at some point? Who knows. Stay in touch. Best wishes, Alexander Darling
