    ENGLISH.... It all started in 2003 when composer Chen Wagner wrote the composition “Shiny Piece for Joa and Brice”. Since then, Rawfishboys have been playing their Rawfishrepertoire in venues all over Europe.....In June 2005 they organized two “Rawfishburgerfestivals” in The Hague and in Antwerp, events where they played duo and afterwards invited lots of friends’ musicians/composers to play instant-composed duos or trios..... Rawfishboys recorded their self-released debut album “WaR” in February 2006. To promote they toured Belgium, Holland and France where for each concert they invited one special guest (such as Simon Jermyn, Erik Vermeulen, Lionel Malric, Lode Vercampt, Thierry Gomar) to join them in a second set. .... In 2006, Rawfishboys activities were on hold because Brice decided to go to Cameroon to live with the Baka Pygmies people for a year, even though he was hungry at certain times, he survived and found his way back to northern europe. .... In November 2008, Rawfishboys recorded for 2 days at the studio LOOS in The Hague, resulting in “piano works/piano worksn’t”, a lecture of melodic/romantic pieces from the jazz piano book (the recorded songs by piano greats such as Bill Evans, Harmen Fraanje, Enrico Pieranunzi, Thelonious Monk) combined with improvisations. .... After they recorded the album they were parted once more since Joachim relocated to New York untill he runs out of money and Brice moved towards northern Jutland to be closer to the swamps and to make a baby..... The cd “piano works/piano worksn’t” will be released on the new Ghent based label ..Spocus.. in May 2010. Rawfishboys will be touring in the Benelux in May 2010 to present the cd to the outside world..... we posted a couple of (unmixed!) tracks of the new album on this page........... NEDERLANDS.... Rawfishboys ontstond in 2003 in het laboratorium van het Conservatorium van Den Haag. Toen de componiste Chen Wagner voor hen het het nummer "shiny piece for Joa en Brice" schreef, werd het duidelijk dat er geen weg meer terug was en dat Joa en Brice voortaan door het leven zouden gaan als Rauwe Visjongens..... Een eerste cd "WaR" verscheen in 2005 in eigen beheer, waarna de Rawfishboys doorheen Belgie, Nederland en Frankrijk tourden om de cd live voor te stellen. 2006 werden de Rawfish-activiteiten tijdelijk stilgelegd omdat Brice een jaar bij de Baka Pygmeeen in Kameroen ging wonen..... Na zijn heelhuidse terugkomst gingen de Rawfishboys door met hun werk wat resulteerde in de opnames van het album "Piano works/piano worksnt" in Den Haag in November 2008. Dit album is een combinatie van tijdloze melodieuze composities van Pianisten zoals Bill Evans, Enrico Pieranunzi, Harmen Fraanje, Thelonious Monk, afgewisseld met rauwe (vis) improvisaties..... Na de opnames van hun album scheidden hun wegen alweer, ditmaal omdat Joachim voor onbepaalde tijd naar New York vertrok, en Brice naar het Deense Jutland. In Mei 2010 komen Rawfishboys weer samen om de cd "piano works/piano worksnt" live te presenteren. De cd komt uit op het Gentse Spocus label. .. ...... ..Myspace Backgrounds.... ......
