Mark Little’s Raw Talent Rodeo Wednesday, March 26 Mark Little’s Raw Talent Rodeo The New Brunswick, Holland Road, Hove
MARK LITTLE, our favourite adopted Aussie, is on a mission to uncover weird and wonderful acts. Winning acts, dragged from the city’s bedsits by mysterious “Cathy in the Dark”, will appear as part of Brighton Fringe 2008. The cosy Brunswick back bar exudes a vaudeville feel. All acts are encouraged by a receptive audience, the winner decided by applause. Kicking off were the Royal Mugs – a regal musical/comedy double act which dazzled in the smoky club setting, taking us back to days when we knew how to have fun. On to the talent quest. “Everyone’s a winner, except one is more of a winner than the rest,” says Mark before announcing two winners – singer-songwriter Felicity and Mental Floss, a Victorian sideshow exponent who drove a nail into his head. The Rodeo is not for the squeamish, with a packed audience also exposed to full frontal nudity.
That is quality, thankyou, but maybe not all of it, like the twist, where I go off stage, but if you can do a bit of it that would be class. If its any trouble dont worry. See you soon Love Laurie and Ross
If you're in Lewes, near Brighton come on down. It's at the Lansdowne pub, near the station. It's gonna be ace. If you're not in Lewes, jump on a train and get down the Lansdowne. If you're not in the UK, you better start swimming now. Sorry if you got this twice, I'm freakin new to this alright??!?
Hi Cath, yes am up for the festival. Just let me know where and when. Been trying to get hold of Royal Mugs to offer them a gig, is gus around at the moment? Ade.
