A few words about these young, passionate and handsome men who were drawn together by chance in a smoky, dark cellar at a rock&roll venue in downtown Leipzig. Back in 2005 they set themselves the goal of bringing some real big time rock 'n roll to the local scene, get the kicks, the bucks and why not the chicks. So these cats got to work and in a few rehearsals they pulled together a huge and diverse set of vintage songs. It includes melancholy rockers like Broken Heart, uplifting swinging tunes like Snatch & Grab It, electryfing guitar driven instrumentals like Mr. Guitar and even the jaw-dropping gypsy jazz-frenzy of tunes like Yeux Noires or Five Feet, Two Eyes of Blue.
They are presently giving shape to original tunes, which you can already taste as the demo versions are posted on myspace exclusively. Stay tuned for their upcoming record. In February RAY ALLEN & THE BLUE RHYTHMS signed on RHYTHM BOMB RECORDS and the new Album will be released in November 2008.
