About Ray Clark & The Cosmic Rays (aka The X–Rays)
Merely, only a legend in my own mind - which I am in long-term intensive rehab for – one day at a time... Hopefully, my delusional belief system is not beyond help. Unfortunately, progress is very slooow... Although, I continue to be addicted to "The Insatiable and Jealous Muse of Rock 'n' Roll Guitar" as a "Lead" Guitarist (will play rhythm when absolutely necessary provided you bring "Lawyers, Guns, and Money" WZ) ************************************************************ "My Mission Statement as a Guitarist" <> At 11 began playing guitar. <> Saw The Beatles – had to play, be in a band, write songs. <> Experienced Jimi Hendrix at 14 – had to play lead. <> Heard Jeff Beck at 16 – had to imitate Beck's solos. <> JB and JH: Master teachers... Later on, Jimmy Page. <> Realized I had to learn how to play like "Ray Clark" – what does he sound like? Whether you like him or not, whether I like him or not. <> When I don't like what I hear, it is an opportunity to make a choice to keep learning Ray Clark's Sound, or do a poor imitation of NOT Ray Clark. <> Regardless of age or ability, start Here, Now. <> Only one direction: Forward. <> Make Your Own Footsteps <><><><><><> no matter Who you follow. ************************************************************ "The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a huge battle. Tis' the difference between the lightening bug and the lightening." Mark Twain ************************************************************ It amazes me so many talented people aspire to be lightening bugs, deny the lightening within, or hide their lightening from others' and/or themselves... Ray Clark ************************************************************ The (fictional – yet true) Story of THE RISE and FALL of COSMIC RAY and THE X–RAYS... (at times, "Fetish" and "Hardtack" – real bands at one time, will be exploited just because they happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time – the music business is a capricious one) ************************************************************ Only the facts have been significantly changed (if not completely fabricated) to protect the innocent – Otherwise, no offense, character assassination, and/or harm is intended toward others' – excluding myself... Ray Clark ************************************************************ "LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL" (RO) ************************************************************

I lost to Grana Louise. She's good. I'm just glad I didn't lose to another guitar player.

Toronzo Cannon is going to be cuttin' some heads at Buddy Guys Legends' "Chicago Blues Challenge Finals" on November the 15th.

If you are out that way - don't miss some high energy blues from, "The Bluesman" (TC) himself.

I am going to be astrally projecting myself there by riding my "Dragonfly... and don't be late!"

Left you this message at MLPF: Hey Doc, just wanted to let you know that I shipped out your Vintage LP wiring kit today USPS Priority mail. It should make it by Friday. Remove your original controls along with the metal plate and set them aside. Do not use the metal plate with my harness, you will not need it as my wiring is 50's style and slightly different. Feel free to give your tech my cell number so if he has any questions he can call me. If you need me to email you wiring diagram I can, just let me know ok? Thanks, jonesy

Rock On :)

Hey Doc, placed an order from Allparts USA today for a bunch of parts for the Jimmy Page rigs and made sure that parts for your Vintage 50's style  LP rig were on there. They will be in by the end of the week.

Hoping to get that harness built and shipped out to you sometime next week. Better schedule the patient for surgery

peace & all that groovy mojo stuff

Thanks for your kind words Doc,  glad you enjoyed the video. I have always liked that style of bass walking, try to give him a good foundation to build off of. I went back and checked out the lick at 1:49, us some minor pentatonic runs on the lower strings but I did like it as well. BTW I sent those pu's signature confirmation so if no one is around they will just leave a card in your box. Hope you have them by the weekend. Thanks, jonesy

Hi Ray.

I'm back from the JB concert at Sete in France. It was a great concert. Jeff has kept his passion intact across the years.

A deep lesson.
