It's new, it's very weird, and it's cutting edge.
It is the new umbrella which many of us strange writers have agreed to stand under, to help unite us, strengthen the scene, and make it easier on you, the book buying public, when it comes to looking for something interesting to read besides music bio books. Bizarro is here!

Ray Fracalossy, Absurdist Author is taking Absurdism to new and exciting places. Like make-out point, the tunnel of love, and the drive-in. Posted at 1:21 AM Jan 13 view more
About me: I'm married. I met my lovely wife Christiane back in 96 in a now defunct chatroom called The Park. I have a stepson named Francis.
I used to play in a paisley underground band called Lord John, who released one L.P. on Bomp Records back in '86 (isn't that the year most myspacer's were born?). It is out of print, but you may be able to find it in the used bin or on E-bay. I also played in a lo-fi psych band called The Narc Twins with Lord John's lead singer/guitarist.
I am an ABSURDIST author, and have short stories scattered all around this thing we call the internet.
I would like to officially announce the release of my novel, Tales From The Vinegar Wasteland, published by Afterbirth Books. It's available at Amazon.com.
Or you could order it from your local bookstore.
"One part surrealist farce, one part psychotic hallucination. The story begins with a visit from his friend Anton, who has been slowly losing his face. We meet Gregory, whose home now includes a non-existing room, and discover the joys of purchasing photographs of events that never happened. Somewhere, within the circle of life and death, confusion and romantic infatuation, where death and the afterlife are as confusing as Earth, and dreams are as real as reality, all of life's mysteries are solved, including the discovery of who, or what God really is. Like a modern day Alice in Wonderland for adults."
"Wow...this is fucking rad...who is this writer...?" —kurt k. heasley, fountainhead of acid rock legends LILYS
"Though Ray Fracalossy's work has an absurdist core
reminiscent of the old school, it has a decidedly
modern heart that makes you laugh and think at the
same time." —Kevin Donihe, author of Shall We Gather at the Garden?, editor of Bare Bone, and author of the soon-to-be-released Grape City
"Ray Fracalossy's ability to seamlessly blur the line between the irreal and real has made him one of the defining writers of the new absurdist movement. He possesses something rarely found in art today, a unique voice. Tales... is a novel that will more than likely outlast us all." —polycarp kusch, author, school marm, cannibal & founder of both oBook.org and the new absurdist website (www.absurdist.cc)
I am currently in the process of rewriting a children's book, after having lost all my notes, and the first two chapters in a fatal computer crash.

Oh and maybe Bill Brasky. . . Eddie Izzard, or Bob Pollard. . . maybe Salad Fingers or the Residents.

hey ray picked up your book again. the 3rd eye pasty always slays me. well not literally althought that would be quite a tale in itself.. anyway i feel like i told u that before. if I did then it's a testament that ur stories crack me the hell up. peace shell
Thank you so much for the kind words! I finally got around to writing a review on Amazon (sorry it took so long...I have been a bit sick recently). I hope all is well with you! Take care and I hope to talk to you soon. *Cheers*
Thank you so much for writing such a kick ass novel..."Tales From the Vinegar Wasteland." Have I told you I love the title? It was truly inspiring to read, and I can't wait to get my hands on more of your work. One of the many things I loved about it, and yes there were a plethora of things I found quite titillating, was the screaming neighbor...fabulous. ;)
I just read your contribution to the Bizarro Starter Kit. I must say I found the stories enjoyable. They put me in mind of Richard Brautigan, just a little. I'll definately have to check out Tales from the Vinegar Wasteland.
Whatz a surrrrprize.... Lo-ved TFTVWasteland; my favorite sequence begins when our protagonist hero gets lost in search of his friend's home and instead finds a home with the same number and knocks- to his friend's surprise- to find the company he was in search for at this random location.... My enjoyment of the sequence climaxed after his going shopping, only to return to the same address where a non-english speaking maid has a prepared statement answering his questions while disavowing knowledge of any other words except those used in the statement.. Most excellent!!
So my copy of the book is in storage just when I was going to loan it to a very spiritual friend I just made up. Too many roads have been walked not to have a 6000+ library collection of this's and thats's on hand at all times. Of course, one of those thats's being your this's.
The tentacles are the best part. I'm reading a Kharms book right now. Great stuff. As is Ray Frac's stuff. Seriously, the compliment means a lot coming from you. Happy reading!
I played Final Solution for Darren and he loved it. He wants a copy of the album for his car. He also wants to have been born 10 years earlier so that he could have seen LJ live at the Court as a Rutgers student. I don't think I can help him with the latter...
Well, I just finished Tales From The Vinegar Wasteland, and I have to say it is very weird and completely unlike anything else I have ever read, I love it!
Hey! Good to "hear" from you Ray. yeah it has been a while. U still working @ the Liquor store? I only go there 4 beer on occasion anymore but haven't seen you there lately? My JD habit got too expen$ive so resorted to buying the supersized bottles from sam's club, 'til i started pissing blood last oct. It was bladder cancer. Last procedure doc said I'm tumor free & no chemo needed. So, that's good. (Too much info?? kinda felt it needed an explanation...) Can't honestly say I'm making out that great in most other regards right now (I'll spare you the details there)...but "that's life" could be worse, Gotta take the good w/ the bad, be thankful for what I got & all that crap.
