On my first day of school, the Mason Elementary School (Detroit, MI) principal asked me what my name was, and I replied, "Elvis Presley, ma'am".
Well at 4 years old nobody warned me that that wouldn't go over well with some. ROTF. But I have had many influences since. The Beatles, The Everly Brothers, Roy Orbison, Jim Reeves, Marty Stewart, Marty Robbins oh yeah can't forget the Motown sounds, The Four Tops, Temptations and good friend Ronny Banks of the Dramatics. Ronny was my first realization that music was really possible. As he came to Detroit's Jayne Field on Conant near Davidson, when playing for the mighty Pro Midgets with a brown paper bag full of 45's. The song Inky Dinky Ring Dang Do and flip side, If You Havn't Got Love made it to the charts and led the Dramatics to fame. As a young boy to see a friend make it, was inspiration I can't explain. It lit the fire that no rain has ever been able to put out. Thanks Ronny

Surely this is a trick question? I sound like me. I used to do the cover life, and I can do other artist impressions, as we all can. Some good, some not so good. But I write songs for me to do. I don't think about who would sound good doin' my toons. I rekkun if one of my songs gets selected by an artist, they will put their touch to it. I would be complimented by that as much as if they tried to sound like me.
Hey big brother!! So happy to hear that you are doing much better. I know what you mean about the meds, I have watched them take so many people down. I know there is a time when some people need them, but to depend on them is the bad part. I am getting ready for my big move back home tomorrow. Just about done with my packin'. It's going to be nostalgic for me to be back in our old home town. But I think since it's still got the small town atmosphere, and somewhat the same as it was, might be fun. Looking forward to the next Fall Festival, and the ice show, and all the good stuff uptown. I'll keep you posted when I get settled...:) huggs!!

Hey there big brother!! How are ya?? I expect from what I am hearing on your player that you are on a great roll...love the "Glass Slipper" and I noticed a couple more new ones I been listening here for a few now...the writin' is great, but I liked the tune with it too...so catch me up and let me know what's happening. Guess for now I will be movin' back home, family calls, needs me, etc. Going back to our home town next week to look for an apt, it's still a nice small town, my sister and I went to some of the festival's this summer there.
