Ray O'Hara's country-rock soaked album “45 South” stands out with “beautiful, stunning songs that complete the gamut of great Americana storytelling”, garnering rave reviews and radio airplay throughout Europe.
Rootstime eZine proclaims "...Ray O'Hara is new hope in the roots world". Alt Country NL says "45 South proves O’Hara indeed a good hand of songwriting to have; ten arresting songs flowed from his pen.”.
Recorded by Ray and co-produced with Larry Wilson, "45 South" is an Americana melting pot of folk, rock, pop, bluegrass and country. What started out as a solo, acoustic project has blossomed into an electrifying mix of drums, bass, acoustic and electric guitars, dobro, lap steel, harmonica, fiddle, banjo, organ, piano and accordion.
Drawing from the deep pool of talented Austin musicians, "45 South" features some of the best players around. Ray's long time friend and former Orange Hunters guitarist/singer Pat Cordell sings harmony and shares a songwriting credit on "Still Looking".
Released in January 2005, “45 South” has been well received in Austin and Europe. Bob Harris of BBC London has been regularly playing Ray's CD since he discovered it at SXSW. Local Austin radio has supported Ray’s CD with spins on KGSR and KUT. Ray performed live on John Aielli’s Eklektikos and was the featured artist on the KUT “Austin Music Minute” segment.
A Chicago native, Ray now hangs his hat in Austin, TX.
Dear {NAME}, I am writing to offer comfort to you in the wake of the hurricane. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. I wrote a song several years ago about surviving a hurricane called "The Way Through." If you think it might bring some solace and strength, please feel free to give it a listen on my page. Hope this finds you safe and well. peace, Paul Kuhn

Also, we uploaded a live performance of one of our fav's, "Rhyme". Hope you enjoy.

Just wanted to check in and see how you were doing. I was also listening to some tracks on your CD recently and wondered if you wouldn't mind if I considered covering one of them.
