Ray's moving and melodic tunes, have captured the souls of those who listen to his music. His ongoing popularity and elegant performances have elevated him to the top of the nightclub acts in New York City. Effectively weaving his own lyrics, Ray is stepping up the ladder to occupy a permanent spot in the Latin Music Industry. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Ray Rivera was separated from his parents and raised on the island of Puerto Rico by his grandparents. At an early age, Ray was aware of his God given gifts and practiced his singing not knowing that it would eventually enable him to achieve his dream of one day singing in front of an audience. Because of financial situations, Ray was unable to receive professional training, but that hasn’t stopped him from achieving his goal. In his early twenties, Ray moved back to New York City. some of the guys who would get together for a "rumba" in the parks. After a short time, while getting acquainted with his new surroundings in this great city, Ray was asked by a local band leader to sit in for a singer who was unable to perform that night. When this happened, Ray's dreams took a whole new meaning. Almost immediately Ray began to shine and the "salseros" around the city began to take notice. Ray Rivera has shared the stage with some of the most vibrant names in salsa music, Hector Lavoe, Cano Estremera, Ismael Miranda ,just to name a few. Today, Ray Rivera is working diligently to form his own band "Ray Rivera con Sabor Latino," has finish his first CD. Ray Rivera's future looks very bright as he hopes and prays that his music can be shared with “music lovers” all across the globe. “PALANTE SIEMPRE”
