Born the evening of May 29th, 1987, Raymeo Christian Spears was practically born into music. With countless memories of his father playing various instruments, as well as his mother being a vocalist, he had grown an immense curiosity for music. Encouraged to utilize education, he had developed an infatuation with reading and writing from the age of 7. Growing an expansive vocabulary from countless forms of literature, he decided to blend his talent to rhyme with insightful thoughts, taking an interest in poetry. While soaring academically, the young Raymeo was also a troublesome child; known for his defiant behavior, he was heading down a road to destruction.
Stealing an older neighbor's CD player from his backyard, he had taken more than he was bargaining for. It was Notorious BIG’s Ready To Die album. Based solely on this pivotal listening session, he had discovered a vital part of himself, through expression. Since that day, he would faithfully write out random thoughts, observations, and ideas that would come to mind, later converting them into rap verses. While continuing to work on his craft, reality began to impact his motivation. After losing childhood friend George Williams III to gang violence, Raymeo was determined to change his direction completely.
After moving from house to house while growing up, Raymeo had adapted to multiple environments. As a teen, he found himself living in the infamous streets of Compton, California. Finally finding a place to call home, he became a member of a local group known as Track House. As a side venture, he teamed up with a couple of his classmates from King/Drew High School to form Next Level. They began to find local success with their first offering, entitled "Level 1". After selling the group venture hand to hand, reaching a school full of listeners in less than two weeks, he decided that this would only be the beginning. Living in Compton while graduating with High Honors (GPA over 3.5) he wittily masters street smarts as well as book smarts, creating a unique and distinctive sound. Continuing his journey to success, he lets his music speak for itself. So far he has released "The Quiet Riot EP" in 2008, as well as the recently released "Child of The 90s" project.
