About me: i was born in the suburbs of chicago. lived there for a while. a long while. a dickensian long while. then chicago proper. then it was south to lovely carbondale, IL for a few years of living which could be somewhat recreated by drinking half a fifth of bourbon in a basement while 4 or so people scream at you through a PA for 3 continuous hours. after that jaunt it was north to the frozen tundra of wisconsin. where i spent 3 years, making music, eating cheese, riding bikes, travelling the country, falling in love, getting engaged, getting un-engaged, falling out of love, writing, putting out zines, and getting re-engaged, but this time in general mischief. Now it seems that the blackhole fantasy land of carbondale has me back in it clutches.
ive apparently made an unconscious habit of living in houses with names. that being said, i now live at Lost Cross (again)- 407 W. Elm - Carbondale, IL - 62901
im stuck in the middle, so i like to get letters.
i ride bikes and read books and make music and watch movies and high five and talk it out and take it easy mostly and flake out more often than i wish i did and use copy machines to do wonderful things and really enjoy stealing for more than i should and have great ideas but only follow through on about 20% of them and start forgetting everything about 3 years later and very much enjoy telling people stuff i just learned so that they learn it too and try to be the best friend that i can.
i currently have unrequited crushes on: Sarah Vowell, Miranda July, Jenna Fischer, the anthropomorphized version of the band Tacocat, Christine Darbon (ca. 1968), a Muncie girl named Amy Archer, Laura Silverman, and the girl whos voice i hear in my head when i write new backup vocals for old songs on the radio.
Im in a band that ive been in longer than most relationships ive had called It Burns. Theres also a new affair of a band im in called, Leaders. i sometimes put out a zine every now and then called Love In The Time of Scabies, but i contribute to High Carb Low Life zine regularly.
Im pretty smart, but act pretty dumb sometimes.
And not only is The Cure my favorite band of all time, but i dont think thats weird. in fact, i think its pretty weird that theyre not yours.
Who I'd like to meet: smart people, turophiles, pen pals, fun kids who like to play non-head games, old friends, people who write zines but dont call themselves zinesters, supportive others, minority punks, queer punks, lady punks, passing strangers, freaks, weirdos, rejects, a nice anyone to sit around and talk with.
now who wants to grab a space bag of blush, a jambox, some mixtapes, and go for a bike ride until the sun comes up?
...and i want to meet this dude and ask him why hes wasting his time learning a chinese telephones song.

A nice homeless man walked me to work this morning and asked if I wanted to marry him.Without giving me time to answer,he then pulled out a digimon coloring book and ask if I wanted it. If I wasn’t late for work, I would’ve been on my honeymoon by now coloring “Togemon” every color besides green!
