Chicago native, Ray DeArcangelis (Rayzor) is an alumni of the Old Town School of folk Music and well-traveled troubadour in the spirit of Guthrie/Dylan. Rayzor sings songs of socio-politico import as well as ballz out funnys, sweet luv, and spiritual search songs.
In 2000 Rayzor moved to Sarasota Fl where he is a member of Friends of Florida Folk and Sarasota Folk clubs, also a published author and p/t educator.
Rayzor mostly plays the not-so-popular places (in FL anyway) that welcome originals, but mixes in any number of 60-70's smashes according to audience desire. More often than not they say, "Play more of your stuff-it's great."
You'll find him summers on the road or at some charity or private party. And yes, he still occasionally plays where he started: on boardwalks and street corners. Never too proud.
