Razpy (One Famm Recording Artist)
At age 15, Razpy was the youngest artist of One Famm Records. Young and driven, Razpy was not afraid to play in the Big Leagues, and run with the Best of them. No sweaty palms, dry throat, or butterflies… The stage never frightened him. Opening up shows and performing with big names like E-40, and Keek Da Sneek on weekends and school nights, then waking up for high school and college classes in the morning, and going straight to work in the evenings. Razpy had a lot going for him, and all who watched him from day to day felt he had got an early start on Life. If he had it his way, he would have slept in the studio. Usually being the 1st to arrive, and always being the last to leave, just waiting for Mr. Network to come in and kick him out in the wee hours of the morning. Razpy was eager to dive straight into the music world, he was hungry, and his appetite always put a lot on his plate.
As the seasons changed, shows slowed up, and hours at work were cut back, Razpy began to look for money elsewhere; turning to the streets and leaving his mother’s home in an attempt to be emancipated. As the months went by and the years followed, it seemed Razpy’s Lifestyle only deteriorated. From music, work, and school, to skipping class altogether to sell guns and drugs, and drop off strippers and other women. At some point things needed to change… Before his mother left to New York for art she prayed and told Razpy “God is going to correct you.” She did not even know all that was going on. She just knew something was wrong, and that her son was being deliberately disobedient. After she left for New York, a week or so later on May 23rd, 2007, Razpy received a call from his Mother in the Hospital. A stranger had stabbed her, 8 inches deep in her chest, opposite her heart. When she arrived back into town she was ok, just a little soar and stitched-up. Razpy knew something had to change with his life. However, he did not stop. In fact, it kept getting worse.
On June 23rd, his girlfriends Home Pregnancy Test showed up positive. Razpy was in no way ready to be a Father… Nevertheless, the thought of aborting his seed did not even cross his mind. Razpy wanted to be a better Father than the Father he was born from. Razpy wanted to be able to fully provide for his son when the time came, so he began to double up on all of his sales, and put twice as much effort towards all his illegal endeavors. In a sophomoric attempt to make a better life for his unborn son, Razpy got caught-up, arrested, and put in jail facing 4 felony charges… God had truly corrected him. Months later, with much stress and mercy from God and the Judge, Razpy beat the case. Since then he has been doing nothing but writing heartfelt, real music. Straightening out his path, and putting all his efforts towards Real Rap. With the struggle to provide for his family and his son, it is obvious Razpy is Hungrier than any other rappers his age. This young rapper has nothing to do but take over and make some major changes. By listening to just a few of Razpy’s songs, you will begin to realize this young gun has no problem with stepping up and speaking his mind.
