The Refined by Fire Project’s name comes from 1 Peter 1:6-7 which says, “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith-of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire-may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.”
When we found that verse in my Bible, we thought “that would make a cool name for a band”. So we established “Refined by Fire (The Band)” or as it was later dubbed “The Refined by Fire Project” in 2005.
However, it wasn’t until 2008 that The Refined by Fire Project got it’s act together. We kicked off the year with a new website, two gigs, and some music demos.
We are in the process of recording our new single, and preparing promotional CD’s and print media for distribution. We are also going to be touring more in 2009.
