ROWDEE BLACK GIANTS, better known as the RBGeez, is not a typical group or band. It is, simply put, a lifestyle, point of view and a sub-culture birthed from a necessity to improve Hip Hop by saving it from these "get rich quick" pirates posing as artists/ emcees. The group name was derived from the names of our founding members (ROWDEE & BLACK) to express loyalty and family.
The mascot symbol: the Jersey Black Giant (a Gamecock) represents and identifies the GIANTS. The Jersey Giant Gamecock is a very heavy bird, tremendous in size and a fantastic show bird used to breed stronger fowls. This symbol supports the mission and purpose of the ROWDEE BLACK GIANTS. We are strong family of loyal artists, tremendous in size, fantastic in show, breeding stronger minds and individuals through music, entertainment and education. The logo depicts the aggressive ROWDEE BLACK GIANT holding a part microphone/ part shovel to symbolize that we intend to "wake people up, to dig what we are saying". The initial offering from the Philadelphia-based ROWDEE BLACK GIANTS combines the extraordinary writing and lyricism of The Mutation of Greatness and D.A.M.E. with live hip hop/ rock/ funk/ folk/ blues influenced instrumentation. The Mutation of Greatness (MOG) is driven by three dominant alter egos, BIGG SEXX, VenNUMB and GALAKKTUS. Each alter ego was manifested to communicate messages to different audiences while continuing to inspire and motivate people to mutate into greatness as a people. Da Average Man Evolving (DAME) balances all sides with his vast subject matter and flawless flows and HANNIBAL C. LUNATIC (mr. badd) is the ominous presence felt by audiences as soon as you hear the voice. His job is to smash any and everything put in his path.
