"R. Breezy", previously known as "Dizasta" was born Robert McDonald, on January 9th, 1986, in Frankfurt, Germany. Rob's parents Estelle and Robert McDonald were both in the armed services, allowing him the opportunity to live in multiples areas in and outside of the United States. His home of residence is currently Orlando, FL where he has now resided for approx. 12 years.
Robert started writing his own music at the tender age of 13. What started out as a hobby, spitting lyrics in the school courtyard with his uncle, soon turned into a full blown passion for him. He began his recording at a house studio at the age of 16 and during this time he also participated in numerous competitions that proved to be very successful. During his high school years, Rob continued to write and record music and it wasn't until his college years that he would begin to get serious about his profession.
He attended St. Olaf College located in Northfield, MN where he played football and Basketball. It was during his college years, performing at major school events as well as other events, that he began to get crucial feedback from his friends, college associates & fans. Rob's music quickly started gaining recognition throughout the campus and hometown of his peers. But it didn't stop there, once the decision had been made to place his music on Myspace that's when things really started to transpire. Receiving thousands of plays in the first day, his hit single for Myspace, "Keep Talkin" earned Robert the recognition he deserve as an up and coming rap artist.
While in college Rob slowed down on his musical career, fulfilling a promise that he made to his mother regarding making school & his degree his first priority. During his college years he still wrote and recorded his music; he also performed live during the summer months and for special school events. Performing in front of a live audience enhanced his style and helped too bring perfection to his craft as an artist.
"R. Breezy" aka "Young Rob" made this statement: "I love writing music as well as performing but it was the support from my family and peers that led me to believe I was good enough to make it in the industry because of their blessings and support, my drive and motivation is stronger than ever with which I've always had".
R. Breezy feels that the anticipation of the album, his growing fan base, radio play, and performances is what will help to drive him to the next level.
