Guitar is my passion. I love all styles of guitar. I love to learn and study new stuff but sometimes I'm overwhelmed by what I dont know about music and guitar but thats what makes it so much fun .
Tons of guitar players influence me and inspire me.
I have been playing for a long time but just recently im busting my butt trying to learn Jazz. I love Django, Wes, and all those other great guitar players.
My songs are recorded on a Boss Br-900 usually always first takes with cheesey drums patterns !! Not great productioins but its the feel that counts. I hope who ever listens can find something they can enjoy from my playing.
Just recently I was picked as one of the "Editors Eight Picks" in GUITAR PLAYER MAGAZINE for the song "Corona Dark Special"! I am in the August 2007 issue and its quite an honor for me personally to get noticed at all!
I have a mother who had a terrible stroke in july 2005 who we are caring for at home so my practice time is not there anymore because she needs 24 hour care. But as passionate as I am about guitar its a distant 2nd to my love for my mother. She inspires me in everything i do. I learn so much from seeing the courage strenght love and compassion she posseses. If I can be anything like her I will succeed in life and my guitar playing will follow !
Never thank me for putting your song up. I thank you for sharing your passion and talent with the world so freely. So unselfishly. I had it up before, however put an MJ song up for a while as a tribute. I wrote an amazing song about MJ as well. I gotta get in the recording studio.
I imagine myself sitting in a dark-lit cafe wearing a black beret, listening to poetry, wearing black stockings with the line up the back and high heel shoes.... watching people engulfed by the sounds and speech. Smooth and beautiful. You look great, too.
YEE HAW!!! Rick's Hoe Down is GREAT...fantastic guitar licks bro!!! I'm diggin it! Man, you are the Chet Atkins of Boston!! Thanks for another brilliant tune! Les
