Reactor 1 was originally formed in 2004 by John Seymour.

He formed the band because he felt that current bands songs lacked anything interesting to say. It was after yet another night out in local clubs watching lads trying to enjoy themselves listening to sterile boy bands and 80s music more suited to weddings that he had the idea. After many initial line up changes Reactor 1 have settled with John , Trevor and Rob which have taken the band to a new level. Reactor 1 songs usually have strong messages about anything such as war and relationships but played in a very uplifting style. The band is influenced by the great live bands such as The Who, Stones, U2, Stone Roses and Oasis. We also play a range of covers. John M Seymour - Guitar

John is the Guitar player, song writer and founder member of Reactor 1. Although he is inspired by the music from such luminaries as Pete Townsend of The Who, Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher of Oasis, Edge from U2 and Crispin Mills from Kula Shaker, he has his own unique style. He has a love of travelling and has visited 40 different countries!! He also loves adventures, but would rather avoid any more Tsunamis and Earthquakes.

Trevor Broad - Drums

Trevor has been inspired to play drums by Tony Meehan, Brain Bennett, Buddy Rich, Keith Moon, Steve White, Ringo Starr and Rick Buckler. Master of his Custom C and C Drum Kit, he has no equal! Trevor was inspired to join Reactor 1 in 2006 by the original material written by the band. Trevor is the driving force behind the band and can adapt to many styles of playing.

Rob Green - Bass

Rob or Dr Robert as he is often known within the band, has been inspired to play by the likes of The Smiths, The Stones, The Jam and The Stone Roses and many other bands that start with THE. So why is he lead vocalist and bass player with Reactor 1. It is one of the many things that makes him lose sleep at night apart from the copious amount of red bull he drinks at gigs.! A confirmed insomniac with a liking for late night Edgar Allen Poe films and dodgy programs on the discovery channel! He's been playing guitar for more years than he cares to remember and has a photographic memory for music. A real class act and writer of many catchy and infectious songs, Rob is a ray of sunshine in an otherwise dreary world.
