About me:

Reader's Paradise (formally named Fat Gurrl Ink) founded by Fat Gurrl Ink owner was actually a spin off from her on line of business. As time continued and we began to grow we changed the name so that all AVID readers would take an interest in our group. We read all genre's and love having authors visit with us. We primarily support authors of African American Heritage. Since our founding in October 2006 we have encouraged many sisters to read and discuss books with us, some joined while others were our special guest for that month. We've gone on the road and supported several Chicagoan authors and have looked at our community and beyond to plan outreach events. Our members range in age from twenty something to the mid-forties, from professionals to administrative, from the city of Chicago to the Southwest suburbs. However together it is our goal to empower one another and grow in sisterly love not just a lover of books.
