my band is named JINNRAIL, and you should hear us. good red wine should be ordered by the bottle, not the glass. i loved living in NYC. when i visit now i always end up pushing my return date back several times. i like living in LA, though when i land in another city after leaving LA, it can be difficult to ascertain if LA really happened. you won't believe it, but many U.S. journalists really do work very hard to get the story right. don't let anybody tell you that portsmouth, england, is a lousy place -- unless they live there, then it's ok. some of the greatest people i know are from portsmouth. a good bourbon is right up there with long walks on the beach. in italy, you can fall in love on every single city block. it's kind of like that in most late-night east village bars as well, except for the love part. never personally saw any reason to step out of a perfectly good airplane mid-flight, but i get it. if you grow up on a beach, it's a special kind of difficult to live in the midwest. china was just plain difficult, though i wouldn't trade my time there for anything. motorcycles are fantastic, as is music.
