James Blunt, Five for Fighting, Matchbox 20, Kelly Dalton, Holly Brook, KT Tunstall, Cat Stevens, Tom Petty, The Fray, Rob Thomas, Five Times August, some Green Day & Coldplay ... (I know what I like, but I am awful with remembering names.
Movies
All the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, basically all Johnny Depp movies, P.S. I Love You, and the best movie of all time Witness.
Television
Just about any medical drama - House, ER, and Gray's Anatomy. Boston Legal was great! Oh, how I'll miss it. Also a big fan of Iron Chef, Next Top Chef, and Design Star.
Books
If you have been reading any of this, you know I like teen fiction. A specific list (just to name a few) would be anything by Joan Bauer, Ellen Wittlinger, Pete Hautman, Chris Crutcher, Paul Volponi, Ellen Hopkins, and Gary Paulsen. IT'S KIND OF A FUNNY STORY by Ned Vizzini. DRUMS, GIRLS, AND DANGEROUS PIE and NOTES FROM A MIDNIGHT DRIVER by Jordan Sonneblick. THE GIVER by Lois Lowry. LIFE AS WE KNEW IT by Susan Beth Pfeffer. CRANK and GLASS and IDENTICAL by Ellen Hopkins. THE HUNGER GAMES by Suzanne Collins. SKINNY DIP by Carl Hiaasen is my favorite "grown-up book".
Heroes
Both my grandmothers and my dad because they were just "good" people.
About me: I am in my 31st year of teaching. I love getting kids interested in reading. Most of my free time is spent looking for and reading current teen fiction. I try to stay up-to-date by visiting websites, reading reviews, and visiting bookstores. Interested in networking with other readers with suggestions I can use in my classroom.
I enjoy reading your blogs. I don't often comment but I do read them and look forward to them! I've been slacking lately. I hope to catch up on reading over the holidays.

On the island of Cuba lived two sisters named Adelaida and Marisol. Although identical twins in appearance, their personalities were as different as night and day. Adelaida was noble and loved to help others. She understood that the situation at home was not easy. On the other hand, Marisol believed that the world revolved around her. Will the sisters' actions affect their fate?
