READY FOR VEGAS is an award winning (I.E.M.A. Best Pop-Rock Band 2009) four-piece, female-fronted, rock band from the Inland Empire region of Southern California.
The band was formed in the summer of 2002 with the only original founding member, Mikey "Big Boy" Edwards, remaining in the band on lead guitar. Bassist, Beulah Mae, joined the band soon there after followed by lead singer, Ruby Malone, who joined the group in February of 2005.
Our newest member, Dan (Lucky 13), joined Ready For Vegas as the drummer in August of 2008.
Some of the more notable bands RFV has played with are the Squirrel Nut Zippers, Cherry Poppin'Daddies, Agent Orange, The English
Beat, the Partisans, Throw Rag, The Meteors, The Blasters, Powerflex 5, Hellbound Hayride, Smut Peddlers, The Creepshow, and Civet.
The band has played in many of the southern California staple venues including The Whiskey, The Hard Rock Cafe, Galaxy Theater, The Alley, Linda's Doll Hut, Showcase Theater, Dipiazza's, The Vibe, Tremor's, Lake Alice's, Hogue Barmicheals, The Gypsy Lounge, The Cat Club, The Bordello, Scolari's Office as well as Double Down Saloon, The Bunkhouse, and the Cheyenne Saloon in Las Vegas.
Ready For Vegas has released 1 e.p. and 3 full length albums on their own. The latest album "Up To No Good" helped them win and Inland Empire Music Award for best 'pop-rock' band for 2009. The album was officially released in September 2009 and is available locally at The Velvet Vault in Lake Elsinore, and Hungry Heart Records in Hemet.
