My boyfriend and I were laying down together last night and he made a good point to me; there haven't been any good recent skinhead photo books. So I decided I'm going to start a skinhead photo book project. It will be shot all in black and white film. If you're interested, let me know. I'm probably only going to document skinheads in the West Coast. I'm going to be in Los Angeles from December 23-January 16 and after that I'll be back in Portland, Oregon. If you're interested in being featured in this photo book or have any friends who are interested, let me know. HOWEVER, I'm going to be VERY picky about who is going to be photographed for this book. TRADITIONAL SKINHEADS ONLY! This means NO SHARPS, NO NAZIS, NO WHITE POWER. I need BEST DRESSED and SUSSED SKINHEADS ONLY. This means NO BLEACHED ATTIRE, NO DIRTY SCUFFED UP ASS BOOTS, NO RIPPED UP CLOTHES. All in all, NO BALD HEADED PUNKS. Put on your best Fred Perry/Ben Sherman, wear your nicest jacket, rock your best tonic, wear your shiniest boots and make sure your hair is nice and cropped! So if you're a skinhead or skinhead girl and you're interested in being in the West Coast Skinhead Photo Book, hit me up... This is a professional photo documentation. So if you and I have drama with each other, squash it and man up if you want to be in this book. Hopefully this book will be published before 2011. I have to find out all the copyright and publication shit first. I think this will be a great way to launch off my career in photojournalism. So any help at all would be great.
We are gonna try to make it down for Shing-A-Ling. Remember you are always MORE than welcome to hang flyers for events at olivejuice. We like you and stuff.
Necktie Killer is thrilled to be playing with Mad Caddies! Sunday, November 1st at 6pm. Mountains Edge Bar (formerly Timbers South) will be hosting us along with another bad ass ska group from Eugene, Wetsock. $15.00 admission at the door. We expect the venue to be at capacity, so get tickets in advance at any Timbers location or from anyone in Necktie Killer, if you know us. We also have crazy dope shows leading up to it: October 30th at the Old Stone Church for the Power 94 Monster's Ball and Halloween night at the Blackhorse with Danger Death Ray and Tuck and Roll. Thanks so much everyone, for all your support. Hope to see you out there.
