I saw this years ago (we won't discuss how many) and Ed Ames played the lead (ok now can you figure out how old I am) I remember it as a fantastic play and would to have seen you in it. But like I've said before I dream The Impossible Dream.

Really, Mr. McNulty? Brent don't listen! You have plenty of heartthrob variety. This guy is a guy, what does he know?

My husband got tickets for "Man of La Mancha" at UCLA. We took my 82 year old mom who is blind in one eye and can't see too well out of the other. We were in the 3rd or 4th row on the right. I knew my husband and I would enjoy the play but little did I know that my mom would be so thrilled and touched by the experience. Brent was marvelous, as expected. I had a hard time not getting up during the Q&A and asking "Remember when I met you on the first day of filming Star Trek: The Next Generation?" But I didn't because a) I'm not a total boob and b) I know he wouldn't have remembered me and I didn't want to make him feel stupid. So, yeah, it was a totally cool play and I loved the way it was staged.

- ♥ Moonbeam♥Fady Maalouf…2 years agoFly me to the moon...Alll I can say is THANK YOU for this piece of music!Dreamland is breathtaking!I discover new sounds and things every time I listen to it.I´ve created this world in my thoughts...the soundtrack of my dreams.Like I were in it.I´m entering this world and I just can´t stop smiling and feeling good while listening.When Wake up call started I realized,that something great is going to happen.It´s so cool that U can hear Maude on the radio already ("to know U is to love you so"). There was this world in my head...right from the start. I saw that amazing guy;-) ,the streets,everything. I swear I even felt the rain on my skin. Your voice hit my heart and it covered my soul like honey. Yeah it might sound strange,but thats how it felt :-) It´s a wonderful,dreamy lovestory. Not cheesy at all,just sweet and full of colorful thoughts and fantasies. I am so very happy that I found this wonderful music,I am sure it will be a part of my life for a long,long time. When I feel sad I listen to it and it comforts me a lot. It feels so personal and special.Oh how much I love "waltzing on a cloud"...I´m melting inside when I listent o it.Other parts make me feel like dancing on the stars. Like the "I´m sitting on top of the world" line...And there is a fantastic sense of humor,too. I laugh so hard everytime I hear that strange Lady calling you "Loverboy".But then...just a few seconds later Maudes grief hits me in the heart...It tears me up...her voice is amazing.When you say "this is a nightmare"...it really feels like it´s my very own dreaming. With all the sounds in the background,it all feels so real."a sinking feeling" is a song I can relate to a lot.By the way,I love the way you say "Take a chance" or "Dreamland,I didnt now anyone really lived there" or "Give me another chance".I love the part while he is sleeping and I can hear him say"So I said Baby come back t was all my fault give me another chance-and she said buddy,U must be dreaming"That`s genius :-)In reunion there is a part I love so much:"When my life is through and the angels ask me to recall the thrill of them all, then I shall tell them I remember you"...wow!I love the drama in "troubles ahead" ...I was shocked,when she got shot.And when she came back as a ghost...Oh my...when they start singing Starway to heaven,thats my fave part of the whole cd.No words to discribe what is going on inside of me while listening.I was so happy that they were back together afterwards and they sang I am awake.This song makes me feel amazing. Pure magic!BUT there is this one question that bugs me so much.When I first listened to it,I thought that he really got to know her and then he fell asleep after their first night together,so it was all a nightmare since the moment he woke up and saw the other women by his side.Later he wakes up and she is still there and they have each other again. Which makes me happy everytime I hear it :-)BUT now that I´ve listened to it over and over again I have this theory,that everything was a dream.Not only the dramatic parts. Maybe SHE and getting to know her was a dream,too.There are a lot of things that made me think so. I would love that,too.Like he created this woman in his very own dreamland. Will I ever find out? ;-)

I LOVED it. And with the autograph its even better. Also that Brent sent it himself is like WOW! ^^ Got it for a couple of hours but already addicted. hehe... Only downside was that i had to wait 1 week before i got it.

Just bought the CD as a gift to myself! My husband is deployed, and I gave birth last week after a VERY difficult pregnancy. It was a sort of "yay me for doing so much for my family!" gift. As an added bonus, my husband and I are passionate about music of all types (especially the rat pack era) and plan on exposing our new son to them as well...needing sleep these days "dreamland" was ironically perfect..soothing for both baby AND mom!
I could just melt every time i here the samplers, can't wait to get the CD and enjoy it to the fullest. Thank you Brent for this brain child :) - Olga Simanova4 years ago
‘Dreamland’ is a sheer delight, funny and romantic. I love the miraculous harmony of your crooning authentic tenor and Miss Maggart’s silky soprano. ‘Dreamland’ is a great escape from reality. Mr. Spiner, thank you for a wonderful experience.

I was looking just his face, and hearing each word he said. I'm asking to my self: are you tired sometime to answer always the same questions? Maybe not. Well, that was a very entertaining interview and I was thoroughly amused by your wit! I listened to the Dreamland samplers and they are delightful. You have a great singing voice! Good luck with all your present and future endeavors!
