Warren Michaels was born Warren E Barootjian on January 27, 1947 in Bronx Hospital and was raised in the South Bronx near the Long Island Sound in Clason's Point, Bronx, NY.

At age four, Warren received piano lessons until he was eleven years old. It was soon after that Warren discovered other interests including, sculpturing, sketching, and writing.

It was early in Warren's life that Thomas Lo Medico, his great uncle, created the medallions that were presented to the first astronauts that landed on the moon by the President of the United States and soon after became a great influence in his career as a creative force.

After attending James Monroe High School at the age of 17, Warren enlisted in the United States Navy and attended 6 months of Sonar Operators school and 1 year of electronic and technical school in Key West Florida for ANSQS23 sonar. He served on the USS Richard E Byrd as a specialist in that field for 3 1/2 years. After several Mediterranean cruises and more than a few Caribbean cruises, Warren was discharged Honorably in 1968. Soon after his discharge Warren attended ECPI Institute for computer programming and was at the head of his class.

In 1962 Warren began his trek in actively authoring hundreds of songs, short subjects, poems, and quotations many of which are available for review throughout the Internet upon invitation or request.

1982 was a defining moment for Warren Michaels in the music industry after meeting many experts in the business.

Warren began his demo work in a small studio in Flushing NY called Monkey Hill with engineer Dennis Mann. Soon after this moving on to bigger and better things Warren found himself in a somewhat obscure studio in the Wakefield section of the Bronx call Backstreet Studios working with Ed Solan as his engineer. It was in this very place that Warren met Rob Sabino.

At that time, Rob Sabino was the keyboardist for CHIC Productions and had on his resume credits on at least 26 platinum and gold albums including Madonna's "Like a Virgin" and David Bowie's "Lets Dance". From that day Rob Sabino, up to this very day, remains his producer, main source, and affiliation for all further works.

It was during these days Warren authored the anthem for the Statue of Liberty, "Lady By The Sea", which is archived in the museum library of Ellis Island till this very day.

Warren's anthem is also featured on the Official Statue of Liberty Club website in the music section with one other song. This song has found itself performed by various schools and hundreds of students over the years. The Newburgh Free Academy with their choral group also performed this piece at the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor.

It was this very day that Warren Michaels was asked by a representative of the Hall and a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart if he could in fact write a song for the Hall as well. On that very next day, during a ten-hour session by himself, Warren penned, arranged and recorded the very recording of "Purple Hearted Heroes" reviewed on line today on its very own domain.

Since its conception on the 13th of November 2007, this tribute to the Purple Heart recipients has already been endorsed and performed by the New York Military Academy at the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor.

Also endorsing the song is Mayor Valentine of the city of Newburgh after it was performed by Pat Sofokles as an opening theme following the National Anthem at General Washington's Headquarters at the Hasbrouck House in Newburgh, NY.

Plans are in the works to record a trilogy of patriotic themes written by Warren Michaels including a song about a special train delivering toys to the children on Christmas Day dedicated to CPL Joseph S Tremblay by the US Marine Corps.

Mr. Seth Weinstein of off Broadway fame with four musicals in his arsenal of credits to date had previously arranged "Lady. By The Sea" for a 50-piece-orchestral ensemble and is now under review by the Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra and is being considered for this session.

Warren has become an Internet talk show host and it appears to suit him well. His peers have always recognized Warren as a very outspoken friend of the underdog and those not able to speak up for any reason.

In this very short career, Warren has had the privilege to interview some of the greatest minds in the country, out of these great minds emerges none other than Mr. Michael Johns, former White House speechwriter and editor for the Heritage Foundations nationally recognized publication Policy Review.

Also on this short list of great minds is the one and only George V Johnson Jr., a master of art of Jazz and one of this finest attributes, vocalese. There is not enough room on this page to display all of Mr. Johnson's credits so I will encourage you to do an exhaustive search in Google for this information. Warning!!! Pack a lunch.

Thirdly, Warren has had the good pleasure to be graced with such saints as Maggie Lockridge of IraqStar.org. As CEO and founder of this foundation, Maggie tends to the cosmetic surgery needs of the soldiers returning from active deployment in Iraq today offering them this service free of charge with no cost to them or to their families. Warren does all this while sticking to his vow to only play the patriotic themes written by veterans and military personnel during his scheduled programs at all times.
