About Exitwound .. Sometimes life events have a way of changing people. In 2002 that is what happened to Paul Underwood, creator of EXITWOUND. Standing at a cross road in his life he realized the gift he was born with and the potential of using it. The changes he made in his life and with the creation of his music brought about many changes for him both personally and professionally.
The music of EXITWOUND is filled with raw emotion which evolved during the healing of old wounds for Paul. His music is called “Cool Trance Metal” which many have compared to Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Robin Trower and Micki Free, yet has set a standard even beyond them and the world of heavy metal has began taking notice.
His first album release “The Native Axeman Cometh” in 2006 was a huge hit when released. It was submitted for “Debut Artist of the Year”, “Best Instrumental Recording” “Best Rock Recording” “Best Producer” “Record of the Year” “Song of the Year” for Looking through the Eagle Eyes, and “Songwriter of the Year” for The Native Axeman Cometh; and officially nominated in two of the categories by the Native American Music Awards.
His most recent album “After the Storm” like his first has steadily been gaining attention within the music industry, fans and other musicians. He is currently exploring the possibility of recruiting other musicians for a small 2009 tour to coincide with the release of some new music. We expect EXITWOUND will break out within “mainstream” America at any time and it will be a refreshing welcome to the heavy metal world

Bob Bovitch is a retired military author, and a founding member of VVA Chapter 902 in Warner Robbins Georgia has written a book titled "Tribute to American Gold Star Mothers". His intent is to honor the Gold Star Mothers for their pain and undying devotion towards our military and their family members. Bob must have touched their hearts because the National President for the American Gold Star Mothers, Mary Jane Kiepe invited Bob to come to Arlington National Cemetery on September 30 for their 67th Anniversary "Gold Star Mothers Day". Bob wrote "Let Me Walk With You" inspired by his meeting at the wall of Monica Harvey and Veterans Music Ministry. and is currently on the Board of Directors. Q started his initial project in May of 2000 with his Vietnam website dedicated to to a group of Marines that served in Vietnam and he located and reunited many of them.

A new foundation that provides free cosmetic surgery to wounded veterans is determined to give troops the same kind of “rock star” treatment Hollywood celebrities get.
IraqStar, a California nonprofit organization, is offering plastic surgery to veterans, picking up where the Department of Veterans Affairs leaves off.
“IraqStar” was coined to evoke famous musicians by its founder, by Maggie Lockridge, a retired Vietnam-era Air Force nurse who lives in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
After leaving the Air Force to marry a fighter pilot, Lockridge spent the next 18 years focusing on the plastic and reconstructive surgery field.
Lockridge moved to Los Angeles in 1987 and began to interact with the rich and famous as a cosmetic-surgery consultant and owner of an aftercare center for cosmetic surgery patients.

In an act of extraordinary political cowardice and irresponsibility, U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the California Democrat, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, the Nevada Democrat, and their liberal Congressional allies last week rejected Republican proposals to address America's skyrocketing gas prices, opting instead to leave Washington on a five-week recess. In the U.S. House of Representatives, over Republican objections, Pelosi had the microphones and television lights turned out on the House floor as Congressional Republicans chanted "vote" and sought votes prior to Congress's summer recess on their proposals to expand domestic petroleum drilling and address America's energy crisis.
Conservative writer and Republican strategist Michael Johns, a former White House speechwriter and Heritage Foundation policy analyst, argues that this latest act of timidity by the liberal Congressional leadership is not an isolated incident but part of an ongoing pattern of their failure to address the most pressing challenges confronting the country. In addition to their refusal to adopt a comprehensive energy bill prior to adjourning last week, the liberal Congressional leadership has failed to address America's pressing need for tax relief, comprehensive health care reform, and defense of our porous southern border with Mexico. This liberal Congressional leadership also has been equivocal in the global war on terror and support for American troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, which has sent dangerously mixed global messages about whether or not America is committed to victory in these conflicts.

Warren Michaels was born Warren E Barootjian on January 27, 1947 in Bronx Hospital and was raised in the South Bronx near the Long Island Sound in Clason's Point, Bronx, NY.
At age four, Warren received piano lessons until he was eleven years old. It was soon after that Warren discovered other interests including, sculpturing, sketching, and writing.
It was early in Warren's life that Thomas Lo Medico, his great uncle, created the medallions that were presented to the first astronauts that landed on the moon by the President of the United States and soon after became a great influence in his career as a creative force.
After attending James Monroe High School at the age of 17, Warren enlisted in the United States Navy and attended 6 months of Sonar Operators school and 1 year of electronic and technical school in Key West Florida for ANSQS23 sonar. He served on the USS Richard E Byrd as a specialist in that field for 3 1/2 years. After several Mediterranean cruises and more than a few Caribbean cruises, Warren was discharged Honorably in 1968. Soon after his discharge Warren attended ECPI Institute for computer programming and was at the head of his class.
In 1962 Warren began his trek in actively authoring hundreds of songs, short subjects, poems, and quotations many of which are available for review throughout the Internet upon invitation or request.
1982 was a defining moment for Warren Michaels in the music industry after meeting many experts in the business.
Warren began his demo work in a small studio in Flushing NY called Monkey Hill with engineer Dennis Mann. Soon after this moving on to bigger and better things Warren found himself in a somewhat obscure studio in the Wakefield section of the Bronx call Backstreet Studios working with Ed Solan as his engineer. It was in this very place that Warren met Rob Sabino.
At that time, Rob Sabino was the keyboardist for CHIC Productions and had on his resume credits on at least 26 platinum and gold albums including Madonna's "Like a Virgin" and David Bowie's "Lets Dance". From that day Rob Sabino, up to this very day, remains his producer, main source, and affiliation for all further works.
It was during these days Warren authored the anthem for the Statue of Liberty, "Lady By The Sea", which is archived in the museum library of Ellis Island till this very day.
Warren's anthem is also featured on the Official Statue of Liberty Club website in the music section with one other song. This song has found itself performed by various schools and hundreds of students over the years. The Newburgh Free Academy with their choral group also performed this piece at the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor.
It was this very day that Warren Michaels was asked by a representative of the Hall and a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart if he could in fact write a song for the Hall as well. On that very next day, during a ten-hour session by himself, Warren penned, arranged and recorded the very recording of "Purple Hearted Heroes" reviewed on line today on its very own domain.
Since its conception on the 13th of November 2007, this tribute to the Purple Heart recipients has already been endorsed and performed by the New York Military Academy at the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor.
Also endorsing the song is Mayor Valentine of the city of Newburgh after it was performed by Pat Sofokles as an opening theme following the National Anthem at General Washington's Headquarters at the Hasbrouck House in Newburgh, NY.
Plans are in the works to record a trilogy of patriotic themes written by Warren Michaels including a song about a special train delivering toys to the children on Christmas Day dedicated to CPL Joseph S Tremblay by the US Marine Corps.
Mr. Seth Weinstein of off Broadway fame with four musicals in his arsenal of credits to date had previously arranged "Lady. By The Sea" for a 50-piece-orchestral ensemble and is now under review by the Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra and is being considered for this session.
Warren has become an Internet talk show host and it appears to suit him well. His peers have always recognized Warren as a very outspoken friend of the underdog and those not able to speak up for any reason.
In this very short career, Warren has had the privilege to interview some of the greatest minds in the country, out of these great minds emerges none other than Mr. Michael Johns, former White House speechwriter and editor for the Heritage Foundations nationally recognized publication Policy Review.
Also on this short list of great minds is the one and only George V Johnson Jr., a master of art of Jazz and one of this finest attributes, vocalese. There is not enough room on this page to display all of Mr. Johnson's credits so I will encourage you to do an exhaustive search in Google for this information. Warning!!! Pack a lunch.
Thirdly, Warren has had the good pleasure to be graced with such saints as Maggie Lockridge of IraqStar.org. As CEO and founder of this foundation, Maggie tends to the cosmetic surgery needs of the soldiers returning from active deployment in Iraq today offering them this service free of charge with no cost to them or to their families. We need to combine and eliminate all forms of health insurance like medicare, medicaid, workmen’s compensation, and others into a single payer. A single payer does not mean government control and we can ensure that competition among health care providers continues. Under my plan, the individual can pick the doctor, hospital or nursing home of their choice. More importantly, you and your doctor will determine your health care, not the government or a bureaucrat in the health insurance industry.
By doing this we can free up around thirty percent (30%) of the existing health care cost that is being wasted on bricks and mortar associated with the insurance industry, which includes office buildings, administrative and sales personnel, and profit by using the internet to provide customer service, as all business is doing today.
