All 4 members are currently attending Adams State College.This band is no more than a year old, but there is still something special. Dark Torch anthem is made up of 4 kids who are the same kids who are going to be standing right next to you at a show. They are kids just like you, who you would probably be friends with if you could hang out with us.
It started when Scott and Aisha met through KASF 90.9 the college radio station in September. Scott and Aisha knew that they wanted to start a band but they did not know who else would join. They dident really know anyone else. Scott was a bass major at school but he had a passion for playing the gutair.
That very same day on the other side of town Brian and Matt were trying to start a band but found themselves with the very same problem, they still needed 2 other members.
That day the gods of rock were smiling apon Dark Torch Anthem because by stroke of luck Aisha happened to be living next door to Brian and heard him playing the drums, and went and asked him if he wanted to start a band with her and a guitarist. It had seemed like the 2 members that they needed just fell out of the sky!
The next day they all got together and started to struggle through what was in retrospect a very good first practice. A week later Trash Girl was born, and the band has never looked back.
