REALITY BAND is one of those special bands that encourages people to change their perception of reality as a means to better the world, transforming todays street music by infusing positive messages that aim to take their listeners to a higher level of consciousness. The time for REALITY BAND is here. Originally founded by Hosea (Florida), lead vocalist and principle songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Griffin Newton (Dominica), REALITY BAND began to work hard in the studio coming up with a variety of fresh innovative sounds meshing each others previous musical backgrounds. Melding the roughness of street hip-hop and R&B, the sweetness of island zouk and calypso, and the consciousness of Rasta roots reggae, REALITY BAND presents revival music with a fresh and positive perspective on lifes everyday issues. REALITY BAND recombines the elements of these varied genres (and others) to create a distinctive roots music with clear heartfelt lyrics, smooth body-moving grooves, and unforgettable melodies. Their songs seek to heal the world by exhorting people to positive action against such social scourges as poverty and hunger, while other songs cry out for an increased sense of the communal love and a heightened awareness of the things that truly matter in this life. Individually, each member of REALITY BAND feels guided by an innate responsibility to try to make a difference in todays world by offering music which contains a positive and meaningful message one which touches the hearts and minds of all the people with whom they come in contact. Having naturally gravitated towards one another as a result of this shared vision, these individuals comprise REALITY BAND, offering high-energy performances of message music guaranteed to please the most discriminating crowd.
