About me:

We got so many requests from sexual predators, and we wanted to get rid of them. We also noticed that the only "clean" profiles we got requests from were musicians. We decided, let's try to take the focus away from the website, and change the profile to something that we promote. The final result was "EdgeMusic", a MySpace profile that recommends that MySpace users listens to artists that should make it big, and also, artists that were big, became a forgotten career, and should have another crack at success. Every week, we choose 4 artists that we are most impressed with and put them in a showdown for visitors and fans to decide which one they like better. At the beginning of the new week, we announce the winner of the poll, and they become the "EdgeMusic Artist of the Week".

This site was created only for MySpace by the founders of "Reality TV Guide". Created by Turk182 on Blogger in January of 2007, Reality TV Guide has been there to give the coolest reality TV recaps and discussions.

Important Statistics:

* This MySpace account was made on July 7, 2007
* EdgeMusic was debuted on November 4, 2007
* There have been 59 artists to date that have been voted EdgeMusic Artist of the Week
* The first Artist of the Week was The Undeserving. They were assigned for the week of November 4 - 11.
* Theme weeks had been assembled on March 16. They were primarily made to organize each week a little more.
* Jimmy Robbins was the first Artist of the Week to ever respond to his victory. Five Times August, chosen a few weeks before Jimmy, had a late response a few months later.
* On some occasions, due to difficulties with creating the polls, there had been 6 Artists of the Week that had an extended reign to their traditional one week reign. The longest one was Buckcherry, who reigned for 3 weeks. As a result, they were automatically given a free pass to the semi-finals at the time of Artist of the Year 2008 Preliminaries.
*The biggest vote ever for a poll was the Artist of the Year finals, which pulled in over 20,000 votes in 4 days.
*The first time a tiebreaker was not resolved was in August 10, 2008, which resulted in none of the 5 nominees from that week's poll was featured, and the previous Artist of the Week, Billy Idol, was featured for another week. The next tie EdgeMusic had was in February 22, 2009. At that point, the tiebreakers were discontinued, and Van Atta High and Bruce Springsteen were both featured from February 22 - March 1, 2009. This was the first time that more than one artist was featured on EdgeMusic
*The Artist of the Year Faceoff began its first contest in April of 2008 with Preliminary rounds after every month. The semi-finals would begin after the year ends, and the finals begin shortly after. The first ever Artist of the Year Winner was Above All Else.
*Past EdgeMusic winners have signed 2 record label deals, won 1 American Music Award, won 3 BRIT awards, and won 2 Grammy awards after being featured on EdgeMusic. ..
