Books
The Black Company "The White Rose" trilogy by Glen Cook is great. Christopher Paolini. Stephen King - "The Dark Tower" (in my opinion) is even better in comic form! Dean Koontz. George R. R. Martin. I really enjoyed "The Rise of Darth Vader" by James Luceno - I would like to see THAT movie. Richard Matheson - a Master! 'I Am Legend' is quite possibly the best read of my life yet. Alan Dean Foster. Kevin J. Anderson. Timothy Zahn. Robert Heinlein - 'Starship Troopers' is an amazing book. Tad Williams. L. Ron Hubbard. Michael Crichton. J. R. R. Tolkien. Charles Dickens. Neil Gaiman. Comic Books! - the under-rated gold mine. Jeff Smith's BONE is GREAT! Stan Lee. Alan Moore. Ron Marz. There are way too many great comic writers. Hundreds!
Heroes
America's Armed Forces. The Silver Surfer. Rorschach. The Punisher. Ghost Rider. Spiderman. Batman. Wonder Woman. Superman. Green Lantern Corps. Fantastic Four. Captain America. Iron Man. Thor. Grail. Dane. Pilgrim. Mother One. Zealot. Red Sonja. Spawn. Angela. Grifter. Backlash. Witchblade (Sarah). Nightwing. Savage Dragon. Catwoman. Archangel. So many!

“Mysterious things happen in our world all the time -
in the secret places between our dreams and our minds.
There is a small town where mysterious things happen rather frequently,
a town between here and there…”
Listen to Tony Kay interview me about The Dreamer here: http://www.artistfirst.com/ithacapress.html
“…Matthew G. McMillan has created a pleasant, imaginative Fantasy tale - the first of a trilogy. It raises questions some have about dreams, death, other realms, and provides a chance to journey and experience possibilities. The characters are interesting and fun and the backdrop magical. It's an easy read and appropriate for most children. Sensitive issues are brought up and there is some violence. This story will also appeal to adults who enjoy Fantasy…”
“…This is the first in a trilogy designed for young adult readers but certain to be enjoyed by all ages. Finding the center of it all is really all that matters, whether in fantasy or reality! The author of this first novel lets the imagination take you there and hopefully will continue and deepen that process in subsequent novels within this series…”
“…I heartily recommend The Dreamer to all readers, both young and old. Matthew G. McMillan has written a wonder of a first novel. McMillan's novel has enough strange events in it to make Rod Serling scratch his head and enough fantasy to make Tolkien smile. Yet, like many of the classic young adult books, The Dreamer leaves one with the idea that hope is real, and life can (and will) get better even when it's rough. It's a great read and the thing that makes it even better is knowing that there will be more books to come!”
