REAL MEN DON’T DANCE is a blues/boogie/powerrock trio from Amsterdam, Holland. The three members, Don Fonzarelli (drums/general mayhem) Ze Munt (bass/voc/interior decorating) and Mr.John (guitar/voc/extended holidays) joint forces in the Eighties, when their thundering sound was a nice change for those who got just a lttle fed up with synthesizers for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They performed many memorable shows, now turned in myth & legend for those who were there. They even played at the wedding party of their greatest fan and merchandise man, Mike, whose family has still not recovered from the experience. Just imagine the faces of Grandma & Granddad, expecting a nice waltz, and then being hit by Ze Munt’s incredible rendition of ‘Old Time Rock ‘n Roll’. Their lives have never been the same...
And so the Nineties went by and the new Millennium dawned upon us and The Real Men thought it would be their moment once again. They recorded 10 songs but their multitrack tape was stolen, but that proved to be nothing more than a minor setback so here they are again! Don’s friendship with the great JOE SATRIANI resulted in playing along Joe’s solo band as well as CHICKENFOOT in Holland, as their support act in 2008 and 2009. That obviously generated lots of publicity and now it seems that they’re on a fast track to more heroic action! So don’t miss them when they’re in the neighbourhood and by the way: REAL MEN DON’T DANCE! (They Just Boogie...)
