ENGLISH The band Mens Insana is a musical trio composed by three Italian musicians coming from central Italy. They have been working together for several years as session-men with lots of famous italian arists such as Ivana Spagna, Linda, Povia, etc. From 2005 they have also been cooperating with notorious American and European songwriters like Bob Halligan Jr., Lois Kirby, Nina Astrom, Sarah Hart, Josh Blakesley, ValLimar Jansen, etc. Versatility is certainly the main and most important characteristic of the band. In fact they play all sorts of music (from jazz to R&B, from funk to hard rock). The will of having fun and feeling music as if it really were “a game” together with a great “sense of humor”, characterises their “musical mood”. The aim of the Mens Insana project is to escape the usual professional routine. Therefore through an alternative way of playing and interpreting music, they continuously try to regain their creativity, far away from the working business rules.
ITALIANO I Mens Insana sono un trio di musicisti abruzzesi che da qualche anno a questa parte hanno intrecciato le proprie carriere professionali. Da tempo lavorano insieme come session-men collaborando con famosi artisti del panorama pop italiano (ad es. Ivana Spagna, Linda, Povia, ecc.).
Dal 2005 ad oggi hanno collaborato con figure di spicco internazionale come Bob Halligan Jr., Lois Kirby, Nina Astrom, Sarah Hart, Josh Blakesley, ValLimar Jansen, ecc. Il loro punto di forza risiede in una massima versatilità che consente loro di spaziare dal jazz al R&B, per arrivare al funk fino al rock più duro. Trasmettono un gran voglia di divertirsi con la musica, ed il fattore “umoristico” è sempre stato per loro di grande importanza. Il progetto Mens Insana, con il quale hanno partecipato a numerose rassegne di musica alternativa, ha visto riuniti ancora una volta i nostri tre, con l’intento di evadere dalla routine musicale lavorativa. In questo modo, intendono recuperare la loro creatività sia nella composizione che nell’arrangiamento dei loro brani, lavorando svincolati da qualsiasi “regola imposta”.
