Rita Dabrowicz (29th of October, blood type: O - negative) is a freelance, visual artist based in Silesia, the industrial heart of Poland, Europe. Specializing in mixed media art, she uses a wide spectrum of materials in her works: from watercolors, pastels, Winsor and Newton drawing ink, to acrylic paints and ecoline. She is also a writer and a photographer of what's obscure and ugly.

Rita is no stranger to the world of art. A former member of The Silesian Fantasy Club, she dedicated more than four years to promoting young Polish artists. She was a main organizer of eight popular art exhibitions and cultural conventions (with more than 600 participants from Poland and neighbouring countries each time), TV programs (Polish National Channel 3) and radio talkshows. She launched a successful collaboration with The Japanese Cultural Center "Manggha" in Krakow and Cultural Center in Tarnowskie Gory (run by former Polish cultural attachee in Japan, Mr. Miroslaw Blaszczak).

Professional journalist and editorial staff member, Rita used to work for the biggest Polish manga and anime magazines. She published her articles in "Kawaii", "MANGAzyn" and "Anime Plus" where she specialized in Japanese history and shoujo manga (female comics). An avid gamer, she was responsible for the publication of a special issue of "MANGAzyn" entirely dedicated to video games, consoles and new media. Three times member of Work Camp Volunteer Programm at Roskilde Festival in Denmark (member of prestigious Group 100), Rita enjoys rock music, event organizing, theatre and concert production, Japanese culture and art.
