I yielded to the call to be a psalmist at an early age. I wrote my first song on the piano while in the third grade. The creative flow of music would often be so strong that I would get lost in school. Now, I understand my place as a messenger. I write for God, taking on issues and imparting the Spirit of Worship.
I don't have an extravagant testimony. I was raised in church and gave my life to Christ at an early age. I have always loved music and I would ask God to give me songs. Because I know where my source is, I have never strayed very far from God. I have always been involved with my church praise and worship team and that’s where I get my stage experience. My family and the whole church are very supportive of me and they feel that my music is about to take off. I graduated from SCAD last year with a Batchers in Sound Design. Besides writing and playing, my passion is recording. I recorded my album in my home studio. I love recording myself and I will continue the trend with my future albums. My dad owns a small fabrication shop where I work at when I’m not doing music. I am 24, single, and I am not tied down in any way. It takes a team and to get to where I am going and I need to join up with people who have extreme faith. I am taking everything at Gods pace so there are no mistakes. Once I get established I intend to stay there. No one hit wonders here.
I have a huge passion to take on the secular music industry. The spirit of the anti-Christ is so strong in the music that it is pulling culture away from God at an alarming rate. I want to fight it with everything I have. Because I write songs by communing with God, He has given me truths and keys to take on this giant. The secular market looks high and mighty but its foundation is built upon sand because the heart of a person can change in a moment. The world doesn’t need Christian rock stars. When praise and worship turns into entertainment it looses power. It’s time for musicians to purpose in their heart to hear from heaven instead of writing music out of their soul. It’s going to take an army to fight the anti-Christ spirit. I believer God is raising up psalmist all over the world to fight for the people’s heart. The Lord spoke this to me one Thanksgiving a couple of yrs. ago. I thought I'd share it. As I was sitting here thinking of all the things I was thankful for, I believe the Lord spoke and said. Have you ever asked me what I'm thankful for? I believe he said, I am thankful for my servants, who, through adversity, still worship me. I know and understand the difficulties, because, remember, I was also tempted, in all points, as you have been. I am thankful for my children who overcome. I am thankful for those who have died for my kingdom. I am thankful for those who don't look to the things of this world, but have given themselves to me. I am thankful for your heart and your life that you have given to me. I cherish it above all else, for those whose hearts have been given to me, I will surely use in my kingdom. Maybe you can't cook. Maybe your rolls flopped today, when you wanted to make them special for your family. Maybe your pumpkin pie burned. Maybe you can't be in two places at one time. But I see your heart child, and I want you to know, that I love you with a love that is so indescribable, that you can't even fathom it. Yes, child, I am thankful for you. I pray and intercede for you. Nothing can take you out of my hand, because I clench my hand tight when the enemy comes and tries to steal you away. Worship me today!!! I am with you as you fill your plate. I am with you when you eat your turkey, mash potatoes, giblet gravy, dressing, olives, green bean casserole, and the rolls. I am with you when you start on the dessert table. Oh, the pumpkin pies, and the pecan pies. Everything I make is good, don't you think!? I am with you as you sit around the table with those you love. I am with you when your heart breaks because there are some missing at that table. So, remember, as you enjoy today, I am there at your Thanksgiving meal with you. Observing and sharing today right beside you. Relax, reflect as you sit in

Fear has been trying to enter my heart as I look around at the darkness that is attempting to cover the earth. I remember in the 70's thinking, "How much worse can it get?" But I am reminded of Someone named Jesus. He came to bring His light where there is darkness. On the day He died, the darkness was manifested as the sky became black while He was dying for all of us. He dispelled the darkness as it crept into the atmosphere when He was resurrected. Before His crucifixion, He proclaimed, I am the Light of the World. So,as we see darkness rising just remember His Light is greater. His love is purer. His victory is coming. This morning, I saw this verse, and it just lept out-----
Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth, and deep darkness the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you, and HIS GLORY will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. Is 60:1-3
As I was just about to post this, I was reminded of the song, This lttle light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine. I think we should change one word in it. Instead of "little" light, it should be "big" Light. We have the Light of the World living within us. As we allow Him to live through us, millions of huge spotlights are going to help those who are in darkness find the Way, the Truth and the Life, JESUS. And I'm praying this Light will be so bright that it will blind the enemies and send them into confusion.

Ryan, I love your passion for Christ. I take my passion into prisons. An inmate gave me a song that he had written that I put to music, called "Bottles of Wine." His testimony is pretty intense (the lyrics) but also I think as a guitarist you might really like it. I really like your music..............Mark
