Realtime have two sets from which to choose. One is uncompromising, venom-spitting, violent boiling anger. The other is melodic, reflective and thoughtful, with a wider appeal.
Perhaps the best overall description of our material is "dark". Songs vary in style according to the experience or emotion from which they are drawn, but this is the common thread.
Suggestions as to who our influences and contemporaries might be are always welcome, because we don't know! Have a listen and make up your own mind...
Realtime Thrill are a three piece from South London.
A few years ago Ian was having a quiet drink in a bar, when the tranquility was suddenly shattered by the sounds of violence and of a man shouting over the speaker system. He rushed in the direction of the sound in order to provide assistance to the man who was, presumably, being attacked or was in peril. As he reached the stage area he saw that this man, slightly foaming at the mouth and whaking a bass guitar to the accompaniment of a drummer, was
performing his "songs". This man's name was Austen, but everyone knew him as Muggins. The fellow sat behind him, a thumping and a beating the drums of death, was Martin. Or "Boss".
Ian doesn't remember much after that. Things in that bar became a little fuzzy that night. All he knows is that he woke up as the third member of Realtime Thrill.

How could you even have seen the inlay card? It actually contains a picture of satan hanging from a helicopter, which is on fire, and he's got a machine gun with a snake coiled around it, and is shooting at god, who is on fire, and satan's got this babe in his arms with a snake coiled around her, which is on fire, and they're all surrounded by demons and bats. Who, of course, are on fire.
