REAP sehen sich selbst als die musikalische Verwirklichung des totalen Chaos, dem alltäglichen Wahnsinn dem wir alle ausgesetzt sind.
In ihrer Musik wird die Obrigkeit bespuckt, das System in Stücke gerissen und das krampfhaft unterdrückte jedoch allgegenwärtig Böse von der Kette gelassen.
Die pure Energie als ihr Instrument nutzend, beschreiten sie einen schon vor Jahrhunderten geebneten Pfad, der dem ungeübten Ohr als irreführend erscheint, jedoch in der Lage ist, all das zu verkörpern wonach wir uns alle im Verborgenen sehnen: Freiheit durch Kontrollverlust!

REAP - to all hated

Mit "to all hated" bringen REAP ihr neues Album auf den Markt und zeigen einmal mehr dass man als Fan harter Klänge nicht an der "new wave of austrian heavy metal" vorbei kommt.
Die nunmehr 5-köpfige Formation versucht dabei erst gar nicht in Gewässern zu fischen die von unzähligen Bands bereits ausgehungert wurden, sondern verfolgt ihren eigenen stil konsequent und überzeugend. Die 6 Songs sind knüppelhart, grooven und gehen ins Ohr. Zwischen dem Brecher "Painstage" und der fast schon als episch zu bezeichnenden fast 8 Minuten langen Nummer "Baptized in Blood" findet das Metallerherz fast alles was es begehrt, dieses Album möchte man so hören wie man jedes Album eigentlich hören sollte: von Anfang bis zum ende und am besten gleich noch einmal!

Und da REAP bekanntlich live noch mehr rocken als auf CD kann man nur hoffen, dass sie bald in eurer nähe Halt machen!

By releasing their newest album „to all hated“ REAP are proving once again you can’t just pass by at the “new wave of Austrian heavy metal” if you’re a follower of the heaviest of all music styles.
Still not trying to stoke in waters already been fished out from lots of different bands before the formation of five once again proves themselves and just goes straight the way they want with consequence and pretty convincing. The six partly long songs are hard as steel and rough as well as groovy and catchy. Between the breaker “Painstage” and the anthem-like nearly 8 minutes lasting “Baptized in Blood” the album offers everything real metaler desire. This album needs to be listened to as every album needs to: From the very beginning to the bitter end and once again!

And since it’s a fact REAP are live much more better than just on CD- let’s hope for the best the guys are also showing up in your hometown!
