Reasons Lost

Bio:

Reasons Lost is a five piece metal band hell bent on creating music that is equally brutal as it is melodic, as fast as it is groove based, and as driving as it is catchy drawing influences from bands such as Slayer, Lamb Of God, Pantera, and Chimaira. Their no holds barred thrash mixed with death metal, and rock n roll sound, which they like to call “DIRTY SOUTHERN CANADIAN METAL”, has set them apart from their peers, and earned them respect from many fine acts in the Windsor/Essex county music scene.

Reasons Lost first formed in late 2008 when brothers Drew (Vocals), and Kris (Guitar) Carriere decided to create their own brand of music, and search for likeminded musicians. The goal was simple, to create music that they ultimately loved to play themselves, but also to try and relay their sound to a vast audience. The first to join the band was Gerry Pannunzio on drums, and second Andrew Watson on bass. Together the four musicians locked themselves in a basement for a year writing music, and trying to hone their sound.

Finally they emerged from the depths of the asylum eager and ready to hit the scene, and “SPREAD THE ISANITY”. The band entered the scene a small fish in a very big pond, but quickly gained notoriety over the space of a year with their “sweat till the last drop” attitude toward live performances. These guys are going to make sure your entertained or die trying.

In the fall of 2010 Reasons Lost released their self-titled debut EP, recorded by Al The Yeti Bones. The studio was a great learning experience, which taught them that they had a lot to learn, and had limitless room to grow. Now they were hungrier than ever to progress as a band.

Wanting to expand on their sound even further they picked up Jason “pavs” Pavao on guitar, and Matt McCormick on bass. The music got faster and heavier without compromising their groove based rock n roll edge, thus creating the Reasons Lost you hear today. Later Matt parted ways with the band on mutual terms, leaving a spot open for Moose to return on bass, who was actually around during the bands infancy.

Over the last couple years Reasons lost has played many shows including venues in Toronto, and London and shared the stage with such acts as Baptized in Blood, and Napalm Death. The band has a new EP coming out very soon, and hope to have a full length album by mid to late of 2012.

Reasons Lost is determined to keep pushing themselves to new levels. These five guys know if they stick together there isn’t anything they can’t accomplish…….
