100 per cent has 11 tracks ranging from duo to full horn section, vocals, and rhythm section. Each composition was recording live in a studio. The only over dubs were done to create the horn section where Rebecca played all the parts in "Appreciate," "100 per cent," "One last Kiss," and "Dreams Come True."
Sheryl Bailey is featured throughout, and on "Break'n the Mold," Sheryl and Rebecca trade fours. It is marvelous! "Break'n the Mold," represents breaking the glass ceiling or mold.
Freddie Bryant and Rebecca play a heart-felt duet on "Ella Skye," using acoustic guitar and flugel horn. Jamie Leonhart is the vocalist on 6 songs. Jamie has known Rebecca for many years Jamie's voice especially resonates with "Matter of Time," and "Dreams Come True."
Special guest, KJ Denhert, came in to sing the song entitled "Ella Skye." The rhythm section was put together from across the world- Carola Grey came from Hamburg, Germany, and Dan Robbins from Santa Cruz, California. Both are great friends of Rebecca and solid players.
This CD was put together from a vision Rebecca had driving across the country in her 1967 Ford truck, with her upright piano in the back. Rebecca has put together a unique sound of jazz, blues and soul that embraces her trumpet playing and composition skills. Simply put-to understand 100 per cent's understated deepness, you'll really need to listen to this CD more than once, to reveal the heart and passion Rebecca has put into it.
