Three Thousand Miles - BY NOW!! at CD Baby (www.cdbaby.com) and itunes.
When you go to see Rebecca Haviland perform, your initial instinct will be to watch this attractive young artist. But first, close your eyes. Rebecca's soulful voice will pour over you as the emotion in her voice solidifies a connection between that place deep inside her and her hungry audience. As she's seated at the piano, Rebecca's voice evokes memories of Ella Fitzgerald and a deep influence of Chicago blues. As she performs her original material, one will be reminded of the styles of Susan Tedeshi and Bonnie Raitt.
Today, Rebecca makes music her life, playing shows in such noted New York venues as the Bitter End and The Red Lion. She has released two records, the first entitled "Taking Advice From Strangers." which was produced by Peter Denenberg (The Spin Doctors) and drummer/producer Joe Bonadio (Martin Sexton). The second, "Three Thousand Miles," is a transatlantic collaboration with London based producer/composer Chris Amblin.
Rebecca can also be found as a backing vocals on many recordings, and as a backing musician/vocalist with a number of different groups in and around the city including the Evan Watson Band, The Greg Mayo Band, and as lead singer of the Giving Tree. Her third solo record is due out in the fall, and is titled, "My Little Black Book." Check back to her myspace page to see when she is performing, and to hear cuts off the new record.

As you may or may not be aware SoundARC hold a charity gig every year at Club 85 in Hitchin in aid of the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, and this year we are going to try something a little different from previous years.
This year we are going to take over the club and host 37 acts in one weekend putting full bands upstairs and acoustic acts downstairs in an event that we are calling ARCfest!
It all starts on Friday 4th December at 7pm and then continues on through Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th from 12pm-11pm
As well as raising money for the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, ARCfest will showcase all the different genres of bands that we at SoundARC have come across over the last 4 and a half years. Over this weekend a lot of the acts that you will see don’t get a chance to play a great local venue like Club 85, So as well as hearing new music you will see all manors of genres and styles from acoustic - Metal - Indie - Rock - Punk - Electro - Ska - Funk - Hip Hop/Rap - Alternative - Rhythm & Blues - Reggae - Grunge and loads more that I cant remember!

I happened to catch your performance with Evan Watson in Baltimore at the WTMD First Thursday concert. I walked by briefly and shook your hand and told you that I really enjoyed it. I just wanted to reiterate that it was a great show and listening to you sing was an absolute pleasure. I really am enjoying your music as well. I especially like "Cold Shoulder". I hope you will come back to Baltimore sometime soon, I would love to hear you perform again.
