   About Rebecca Hollweg
Rebecca Hollweg is a singer and songwriter. Her second country-tinged album 'ORANGE ROSES' was released in March 2008. Tracks are being played on BBC Radio 2, and on BBC stations round the UK. UNCUT has given the album 4 stars and says 'Carole King could not have penned a better pop song than 'These are my tears'.....Delightful and kooky'. 'Just a beautiful sound, great vibe', Janice Long, Pick of the Sessions 2008, BBC Radio 2. 'I reckon that could be playlist - I think it's absolutely stunning', Aled Jones, BBC Radio 2, July 2009. Rebecca's debut album 'JUNE BABIES', 12 tracks of melodic pop songs, got played on BBC Radio 2 and had great reviews in the British music and national press. 'A talented tunesmith, happy to wrangle words into memorable phrases', Q 'There is something of (Joni) Mitchell in her soaring vocal lines and (Suzanne) Vega in her confessional ones', Dan Cairns in THE SUNDAY TIMES 'Blessed with a delicate, distinctive voice', TIME OUT 'At the very least a Mercury Music Prize nominee in waiting, at the most a huge star in America', METRO 'Exquisite vocals', THE GUARDIAN. Rebecca has supported several major artists on tour round the UK, including Roger McGuinn of The Byrds, Paul Carrack and Linda Lewis. Media appearances include a previous session for BBC Radio 2's Janice Long Show and Woman's Hour and Loose Ends on BBC Radio 4 plus Tom Robinson's BBC 6Music show. She is the daughter of visual artists and grew up first in West London and then in very rural West Somerset. She lives in London with her bassplayer husband Andy Hamill and their daughter Ruby.

He Rebecca. Absolutely beautiful to hear ORANGE ROSES on Aled Jones Radio 2 Today. Great reaction from Aled " I think that could be play-listed I think its absolutely stunning, we really enjoyed that" Yes indeed it was a perfect choice for Alzheimer's Awareness Week . I'm sure you were touched by that listeners response.

La perle rare…

Joe Barbieri : « Maison Maravilha »

« Un compositeur d'une infinie délicatesse, doté d'une voix d'ange. Ici, tout n'est que dépouillement, raffinement, douceur. Un piano jazz, des cordes légères, des romances d'une tendre mélancolie, un doigt de fado, un nuage de bossa nova. Un miracle.. » (Nouvel Observateur-Juin 2009)
