Rebecca Hosking lives in Nashville TN, where she is actively exploiting her songwriting through several different genres. Her song Rag Doll was cut and released as a single by the independent band Good Souls. Stereo Times reviewed and were quoted, "Ragdoll a smoldering rocker with guitarist Dave Isaacs on this melodic head turner. She has had success in TV and Film, signing a contract with Audiobrain out of New York to air her song, WITHOUT AIM in the Beijing Olympics. Her song Rio Grande was selected for the independent film Ariadne's Thread. She had three songs in the top ten of NIM radio, Blue Back in The Sky slotted at number 3 and Rio Grande at number 2 and Rag Doll at number one and now all three will be entered into the hall of fame for NIM.
Rebecca can be seen in and around the south east areas playing in writer circles. She recently received honorable mention on VH1s song contest for songs co-written with Chrissy Colangelo and received honorable mention in the Billboard song contest, where the judge quoted, this could be on country radio today. Rebecca was also a runner up in the International Songwriting Contest. A creative soul to the core she also is an artist and can be solicited to do portraits, landscapes, anything you can dream she can paint. She is auctioning numerous pieces and all proceeds will go to the diabetes foundation. She has had numerous pieces displayed and sold in Art Galleries around the world.
She is an active member of the songwriters communities, WMBA, www.songu.com, NSAI, TSAI, and SGA. Recently she has been elected to the board of directors for TSAI and is now the acting Creative Director, responsible for the monthly newsletters and bookings as well as numerous other tasks. She was nominated for TSAI's 2008 Best Cowriter, Most Promising Female Songwriter, and Songwriter of the Year and took home the Board of Directors Award.
Rebecca has also been a freelance writer for numerous years and has countless publications, for E-zines and magazines as well as newpapers for the entertainment industry, music, politics, how to articles, environment etc. She has interviewed stars like Brad Paisley, Queen Latifah, John Corbett, Barbara Mandrell, Emmy Lou Harris, Rodney Crowell, Sara McGlaughlin and countless others.
