We are currently working on organising a series of concerts to help an Orphanage School in Burma where there over 7000 children.
The Orphanage also provides one meal per day to children who live on the streets.

Rebecca Moore is currently performing both solo and with multi-instrumentalist Damien Neil. Damien plays guitar, fiddle, mandolin and banjo and will be performing with Rebecca on the upcoming tour to Tasmania spported by Adam Cousens and his band. Rebecca will be also be playing in the semi-finals of the Melbourne Fresh Industry Showcases at Revolver Upstairs, Prahran in June 2009. She was nominated for the Best Female Vocalist Award at the 2008 ABC Newcastle Music Awards. She recently performed at the Cobargo Folk Festival, The Falls Festival, Marion Bay Tasmania 08/09, the Newcastle Blues Festival, Manchester Lane Melbourne and the 2009 Illawarra Folk Festival, Bulli NSW. Rebecca is a self-managed, independent artist.
She is currently the Music Director and co-ordinator of an ongoing concert series that is raising funds for a Burmese Orphanage called Phaung Daw Oo. There are over 7000 children attending this school. Concerts are planned for Melbourne, Sydney, Darwin, Adelaide, Brisbane and Cairns in 2009. Rebecca is currently working on her next album with Dave Sparks (The Lime Spiders, The Saints) at Pirate Studios, Tathra NSW. The newest demo from this record is "Pretty Big Mess". This song is song one above. Two other new demos are Behind The Stone and Not My Island. A live recording of another track from the album titled "Deep Down", placed in the top 100 of the Acoustic category of the Musicoz Awards. (December 2006)
Rebecca has supported some of Australia ’s best blues and roots artists such as Xavier Rudd, the John Butler Trio, Epicure, Pugsley Buzzard, Melanie Horsnell, Jez Mead, Archie Roach and the Back Sliders (Rob Hirst of Midnight Oil). She has played shows with The Church, Margaret Urlich and Things of Stone and Wood.
In 2007 Rebecca placed equal first in the People's Choice Award of the Good Folk Song Competition at the Brunswick Hotel in Melbourne. She also placed third in the Grand Final of the live section in the same competition.
In 2001 Rebecca won the APRA Professional Development Award in the Rock category. This award provided Rebecca with $10,000 which financed a UK tour and also her EP "Butterfly Catcher", engineered by Jen Anderson in Melbourne , featuring Grant Cummerford (Jeff Lang/Matt Walker/Xavier Rudd) on Bass.
Rebecca was a top five Finalist in the ABC Newcastle Music Awards Blues and Roots Award, 2004. The song "Desert" featured on Rebecca's debut album "The Uluru Concept", which featured Gavin Shoesmith and Jason McGann of the original John Butler Trio. Her songs "Tall Ships", "ICBM" and "Oh Father" placed in the semi-finals of the 2005 ABC Newcastle Music Awards. In 2005 Rebecca also placed second in the BLU FM 89.1 Songwriting Competition in the Blue Mountains NSW.
Past performances include the Peats Ridge Festival 2007; the Cygnet Folk Festival Tasmania; Earthstomp Yallingup WA; The Kashmir Klub London; 12 Bar London; Ruby Sessions Dublin Ireland; The Corner Hotel Melbourne; The Vanguard, The Annandale Hotel and The Basement, Sydney; Artsrage Perth and Mojo's, Western Australia.
In 2005/6 Rebecca was Music Director and co-ordinator of the Acoustic Music Series at the Star of the Sea Theatre in Manly. The 2006 programme featured some of Australia ’s best Acoustic Roots music talent including Jeff Lang, Melanie Horsnell, Rebecca Moore, Trapazoid, Nathan Kaye and Ashley Davies and Matt Walker.
In 2008 Rebecca played a six week residency at the Uluru Resort, her fifth consecutive year at the Kilmore Celtic Festival and a winter residency at the Mt Guthega Alpine Hotel, NSW. Rebecca completed a tour to the Northern Territory in October 2007.
Rebecca has featured on many radio shows including Triple J's Morning Show, Creatures of the Spotlight, and Roots n' all, as well as countless independent stations both in Australia and overseas.
She is a gifted songwriter with ability to transport audiences on an emotional and metaphorical journey. She has been compared to Tori Amos and Joni Mitchell; however she maintains a distinct individuality and an awesome creative presence.

yo rebecca ") not long till we play together hey") just letting you know that I’m playing in sydney this sunday the 23rd nov factory’ 105 victoria road, enmore, for the ‘article 39’ showcase concert, which is raising money for child soldiers who have been taken from their family’s and forced to fight at war. It’s starts at 4pm and costs $20, there also heaps of other great up and coming Sydney bands and artists playing. I’ll also be selling my new ep ‘running over rooftops’. , it’ll be a great day for a great cause, be awesome to see your smiling face there “)
