About me:
Just how difficult is it to fill this in? Mmmmmm well.... I'mm now an acupuncturist practicing in Barnsley. After completing 4 long years of acupuncture and traditional chinese medicine study, whilst running a full time job and being a full time parent, I'm finally finding time to catch up with old friends at last and hopefully finding some new ones.
I'm still working part time at the LEA in Barnsley doing a fab project called the 'Neighhourhood Learning Net', which is all about getting adults to get back to study in order to realise their potential. I get to do wonderful things like working with over 200 adults and children to make costumes and learn samba drumming to put on a procession in the mayor's parade.
I also have a clinic on Eldon St North in Barnsley - www.yorkshireacupuncture.co.uk - ., where I practice acupuncture - treating all sorts of health issues. Its a really rewarding job, as you can see people's health improving and their quality of life as a result.
I still play my flute when I get the opportunity. I've recently joined the Barnsley Folk Orchestra when my daughter joined. It is actually for young people - sat amongst 10 to 17 yr olds, I look like I've had a very tough paper round indeed. But there's very little opportunity for frustrated grown up wannabee musicians. There has been a little bit of rootin' tootin' -action recently, however. My good friend Ivan Stott visited me recently on a mission to compose the incidental music for Arthur Miller's 'Death of a Salesman', currently running at Bolton Octagon Theatre. You're currently listening to the result of his very clever musical talents - Its me playing the flute!
Afer doing a BA and a MA in sculpture and teaching for 7yrs, I rarely do any arty farty stuff these days. But enjoy looking at other peoples' (art that is).

Who I'd like to meet:
Old friends, new friends, borrowed friends ..... potentially blue friends (of the musical blues variety rather than the Chubby Brown ilk)
